no mirrors. from what i was told, the setup last night is temporary and was put in just for the reopening. dunno..... they did look really good though

you know when you saw me on the stage? right when i was leaving the stage is when darouge was tapping me on the shoulder to say hi. he was up there somewhere.

Looking at the videos, I can't believe I had to miss this one. Watching him do his stuff is fucking amazing. You can see that not only is he playing for the crowd, but he's also doing it for himself too. This is a guy who clearly loves what he does and goes all out to put on the best show he can. If I were a DJ I'd probably be like him with that much enthusiasm. I hope to hell he comes back and I'll make sure I don't miss him again. All you who where there must have had one fucking great time! End of story.

I couldn't have said this better myself. My sentiments exactly. His energy absolutely transfers from his mind, to his fingers, to the decks and finally throughout the crowd. It's just awesome. Love it! I will definitely check him next time he's in town as well.

Eddie has definately moved up on my list to number one. Insane set and crowd interaction... just, WOW.

Well in but a few words to sum up the night: absolutely amazing! Eddie played such an incredible, thumping, uplifting set! I don't think there's a TA that would not agree he gave us a set not to be forgotten! Wow I haven't seen him spin in a few years since probably at the Docks for Godskitchen so I was definitely due for another set from this guy. He definitely takes it to a whole new level with his unique scratching over trance tracks - definitely not something you see every day! I have to say this night ranks up in my top nights out this year for sure.

Also got a chance to appreciate the renos to the Guv better than at Freedom where it was hard to spend more than five mins at a time in there. Good to see they got the lasers going again. I actually have to say most of the changes are pretty good. The extended stage and DJ booth setup are a nice change - I know many of us have been wanting that ridiuculously high booth moved down for a long time so it finally is. Personally I think it should still be a lot lower but having the space behind definitely adds to the experience and gives you a whole new view of the Guv space we never had before.

Anyway had a great time and big props to Eddie for his awesome set and definitely looking forward to the next time he comes down. Saw Rich briefly and Shaya - it was good hanging out with you and partying again!
