In my opinion, it's great to see atleast a little animation from the dj during sets. I don't see how the air guitar act is stupid or looks stupid though.

Hell, I think many are missing the point that doing the air guitar is stupid in general! If you have to 'air' something, air a turntable. Much cooler looking pulling out a fake 'wikki-wikki' rather than a fake 'wanky-wanky'.
