LOL, I was going to quote snail and say, "inb4bas" but I got lazy.

I hate the name "Toby" and "Cody".

Arbiter, you're acting like a skateboarding douchebag. Tony Hawk doesn't even teach psychology, so what exactly do you know?

I'm guessing you were the one dumping sand in people's hair in the playground... Perhaps you were lucky enough to never get made fun of as a child but it can be really damaging. I am not saying that there should be no teasing at all, but there is a big difference between playful name calling and unacceptable behavior. Once someone crosses the line, they need to be beaten about the head and shoulders. At least back in the day, no one acted out because the nuns would beat you. It somewhat kept people in check. (and if the nuns didn't beat you, your parents would smack the hell out of you for being disrespectful).

I am not saying we need to overreact to everything but to say that words are not damaging is just plan ignorant.

Any Indian (as in India) name.. Those are just some funny f*ckers, some of which have funny meaning in other languages.

Here are some (no joke)

Patel - means "sweated" in russian

welsh football manager, also managed madrid, sociedad & besiktas in turkey, "toshack" is his surname, apparently in turkish it means bollocks.

And "sega" has funny meanings in italian.

I know a hell of a lot more than you ever will. Come back when you get your GED and we'll talk about it.

Actually, such a strong reaction is usually a defense mechanism that would have, in this case, developed after being experiencing, not dealing out, those sort of attacks.

Might not be so in this case, but in general, it's more prevalent.

I believe in psychological damage. If someone fucking rapes you, or kills your family, or kidnaps you and tortures you for a year.

But no, being called by a different name does not qualify. Not even fucking close. Get a spine, christ.

I don't play Halo 2. You see, I have these things called a job, and a life, and I spend most of my time on those, so I don't have much time for games. And when I do have some downtime, and decide to play a game, I'm sure as hell not going to choose something as stupid and mindless as an fps.

In case you hadn't noticed, this is an online message board I'm writing for, not a fucking book. You write to the audience, that's English 101, as you will someday learn, if you ever reach that level of education.

I'm just addressing your stupid fuck remark, as well as your defense against it. once again, I have to refer to the sciences of BASIC social behavior and development.

If you have a scientific argument then make it. But just saying "I refer to the sciences" is precisely the absence of an argument.
