The whole movie was great and did a great job of sticking to the book. Although they missed out alot on telling the importance of Professor Trelawny. |
all i know is that Emma can use my magic stick anytime she wants.

i liked it very much, although at times it seems the message of educational reform and totalitarian rule was overly stressed

| Originally posted by Fledz As in Feist's? Yea that book rocks! But.....have any of you ever read Steven Eriksons novels? The Malazan Book of the Fallen? It's a 10 book series. 7 books have been released so far. Seriously do yourself a favour and get the first book "Gardens Of The Moon". I guarantee you will like it more than any Dragonlance, Feist books, LOTR and the like etc. It's just THAT good! Another good thing is that the first book was written in 1992 and the next ones are being written now so "Deadhouse Gates" the second book is so much more better and it keeps getting better ![]() ![]() You cover might be different if you are in US. What's up with your covers always being really shitty anyway? And back on topic, yes HP is a kids book so you can't compare it to proper fantasy but it's still good for a childrens book. I haven't seen the movie yet but I saw Emma Watson on tv and omg. Fuck she's getting hot! |
Really? Our bookstores are full of them up in Sydney. Well they keeping getting more in as they sell out.
Order all 7 that have come out so far from the net or something
EDIT - Go to this store, they will ship some from interstate if there;s none in Adelaide (which I highly doubt): http://www.angusrobertson.com.au/pr...553812176&db=au

| Originally posted by Taranis Well I was in both Angus&Robertson and Dymocks earlier today, and didn't see any of them. I'll check out borders next time I'm in the city though, if it's anywhere in SA, it'll be there. |

Lugging buckets of water from the well is a real pain, I'll tell you.

Honestly I can't imagine myself wanting to settle down and live here as a long term thing, I'll probably end up moving in a couple years once I've finished undergrad and exhausted most of the entertainment possibilities here.

| Originally posted by Taranis Maybe if you have nothing better to do? It's not a bad place, between Uni and a fairly active edm scene (relative to the size of the city) I find I don't mind living here, but there's not all that much interesting here as a 'tourist' type destination. I can't really take offense at anyone paying out Adelaide, I only moved here in January, and I've pretty much said it (or thought it) all myself anyway Honestly I can't imagine myself wanting to settle down and live here as a long term thing, I'll probably end up moving in a couple years once I've finished undergrad and exhausted most of the entertainment possibilities here. |

Was born in Sydney, but I moved to Brisbane at 6 and stayed there until January. Don't really remember much of Syd tbh, so it doesn't count.
