anywhere i've played it, it just breathes life into the dancefloor.
crazy reaction to it. people are always asking what it is.

rob mello dropped it last night @ piknic electronik here in Montreal... outdoor party on the river overlooking dowtown at sunset..

so sick

Sergio Munoz dropped it last nite, opening for DJ Three... it was just too much ownage. It tore the club to pieces with that track.

haha what an odd track.. but yeah , it works, can see myself dancing to it bladdered in some club

Posted by bas on Jul-24-2007 20:57:

After listening to the track in full I must say it's fun, I like it...but I could never see myself playing it.

noticed Sven Vath dropped it on a recent cocoon amnesia set, does that mean its officially acceptable now?

no. he's insane enough to make it work. If I saw him & he played it, I'd probably just laugh & shrug.

I absolutely loathe this track, though. I don't care how tongue-in-cheek it's supposed to be, I could go the rest of my life without hearing an accordion & be perfectly happy. Hearing it in a track like this is just that much more offensive.

check out zillertaler schrzenjger - zillertaler hochzeitsmarsch

sounds like this shit would be an official remix...

Not by a long shot.

Nothing and no-one could ever make this track acceptable.

Posted by Mr Moss on Jul-29-2007 16:25:

haha well the accordeon sample is a bit of a cheap shot/gimmick.. it sounds a bit too folksy.. but its sorta catchy and quickly identifiable to someone that doesnt follow edm much

Posted by Soeder on Jul-29-2007 16:35:

Funny track if you don't take it too seriously, there's much worse out there who get more airtime atm.

Posted by Armada_hk on Jul-29-2007 18:47:

i cant tell if the track has a faint sound of someone talking or if its just from the recording?? I think dropping this track at a club could be hit or miss. Be prepared to quickly cut in another track if the crowd hates it lol

RJT head of the acceptability committee.

Yes, because we all know that when someone posts their opinion on an internet forum, they assume that sets the standard by which everyone else has to calibrate their opinions.

Spot on, m8. Brilliant deduction.

I'm confused as to what you're trying to emphasize - I made my opinion on the track clear, that's all.

Lord only knows what other ridiculous meaning you seem to be grabbing from it.

Edit: Excellent delete

Right again..

not even worth it.

So not worth it that you got into it in the first place?

Again, well done.

I like to give reach arounds.

It works because it is so fucking stupid.

Just to make you l33t groan even more, Tiesto is now on this. :P

there's a difference between fun stupid and just annoying stupid.

and after seeing this bit of a tracklist from his show

quote:

11. Samim - Heater [Get Physical Music]
12. Solarscape - Zen (Sunrise Intro Mix) [Solarscape Music]
13. Paul Kalkbrenner - Altes Kamuffel [BPitch Control]
14. Gabriel Ananda - Stream Of Consciousness [Karmarouge]
15. Oxia - Not Sure [Kompakt Extra]
16. Cosmic Gate - Body Of Conflict (Club Mix) [Maelstrom Records]
17. Joop - On Top Of Things [High Contrast Recordings]

I'd say it's a fair stance to just ignore him completely.

Yes, it was part from his radio show which was broadcasted last friday.

Posted by luisjb82 on Jul-30-2007 00:20:

Well, I understand if some of the people simply hate it because if I was from a different culture, perhaps I'd hate it too.

The sounds are trying to resemblance a typical colombian kind of music, called cumbia or vallenato, not quite sure if they're the same. But anyways, that style in particular is well received in certain parts of latin america, hence why some people like it. I hate vallenato/cumbia, but for some reason, this track always puts a smile on my face, it's weird I know.

It surprises me that it got accepted in Europe and other parts of the world... I mean, if I was a dj I'd only play it in latin america and still I'd think about it, because not every latin likes vallenato/cumbia.

p.s.: If there's a colombian out there, to tell us the difference (if any) between vallenato and cumbia...
