You're right, to a certain extent. Hard core gangsta rap is trash and I don't like it much unless I'm in the mood for it. I prefer old skool to new skool, obviously. Flows and sounds better. that's why when trying to introduce someone to EDM, i will show them all the different genres...

no difference between calling hiphop "bitches n bling"
than calling all EDM "cheesy club music"

yes there is some truth in both, but there is more out there.
