I also agree with Myra.

A lot of people wouldn't believe how many steroids get shot into cattle and poultry these days it's so gross how a lot of these animals are treated/handled.

Happy animals = happy tummy for Lis.

I prefer quilted toilet paper, but either way, you enjoy yourself tonight.

a lot of beef now in the uk is imported from brazil/argentina and badly treated/slaughtered on the way over. I simply refuse to buy it. My pork comes from denmark or the uk, lamb from wales or new zealand, beef from scotland etc. I label read lots

I'd rather take antibiotics when I get sick and need them, not when I'm eating a chicken sandwich.

kill two birds with one stone and eat a chicken sandwich next time you're sick.

man, i'm just a hardcore animal lover. i slam on my brakes to avoid hitting small woodland creatures, and i wish i could provide a home for all the sad homeless kitties in the world, and i wish cows could talk to me.

but i could never be a vegetarian or vegan. no fucking way. i love cheeseburgers and kabobs and juicy steaks... so i figure if i'm going to eat tasty animals, the least i can do is make sure i buy tasty animals that came from a happy place.

I eat what's on sale. Hooray for being poor!

*pops open a can of chef boyardee*

I've got such a cruel kitty joke Myra. I'll tell it to Jamie and she can tell you. Cruel but funny.

Nah, i couldn't be a vegetarian. I love juice steaks and stuff too much to want to be a vegematarian. What pisses me off is vegetarians that say they don't eat meat - apart from chicken and fish. FFS.

my friend is really into the whole 'live food' scene raw organic vegan.

basically your standard organic and vegan rules but nothing can be heated above 110 degrees or so

also no grains or dairy products.

basically she eats berries, fruits, nuts, vegetables, and chocolate.

there is a restaurant here in NYC called "quintessence" she took me to and it was pretty intense. I had a 'pizza' with crust made from nuts and guacamole for cheese. it was covered in sprouts, peppers, and tomatoes. Also the best coconut banana creme pie i've ever tasted.

but the dude who owns the restaurant is the infamous subway creeper who exposed himself to a 15 year old girl, so that took away from the cool factor. except i was strangely hoping to see him just to say that i have. sure enough he was there

i like to try interesting foods

but i'm all about steak, cheese, and potatoes. and good fish

aww man u just reminded me i saw a really cute dog in the road today...i couldn't stop though. i mean he made it across the street, but he was really cute. i wish i could have saved him. my boss is a dick though and would have yelled at me for taking a long lunch to save an animal.

their logic for eating fish is because fish don't have central nervous systems so they don't feel pain.

i dunno, there's so many levels of vegetarianism. most of it just confuses me.

p.s. meow

Posted by RJT on Jul-16-2007 21:00:

The veggie/fish thing is really dicey.

Levels of vegetarianism also irritate me, but I've learned to pick my battles on that one. People are going to believe what they're going to believe regardless of what you tell them - and I guess semantics isn't everything.

Posted by Marc Summers on Jul-16-2007 21:02:

i eat almost 100% organic

some vegetarians arn't vegetarians for the animals. simply for health reasons.

out of curiosity i checked the wiki page and realized there's a ton of different reasons why people choose to be vegetarians.
