He wasn't being sarcastic... lol

Tiesto music is only good now if Richard Durand remixes it.

Most people on this board hate him w/ a passion! I personally don't really like any of his new stuff, but never miss a show! I always have a blast at the Tiesto concerts (if you get past the cost of the tickets).

Tiesto always brings a lot of 'discussion' to the TOTA board

you and me both jeff...i dont really care...i like the tracks that are spun by him to be honest...if it were any other dj with the same tracklist, i would go for that dj too....but i always have fun and the tiestors...i kind of have a feeling he might pull something really dumb, and confirm a show on the same night as pvd....but something crazy like acc or something...that would be bomb

after a few weeks, you'll get into the swing of things.

...that is if you manage to stay here that long.

recently i find that new ppl tend to not post on here after a few weeks of being on these boards.

what about paul oakenfold's essential mixes.

tiesto never beat that so how can be the greatest?

also comeon with the bull, yes he WAS good but he sucks NOW!!!!

JOC,SvD,Eddie are WAY better DJs so how about admitting the truth cause i admit that he was great at one point.

Posted by yankeeBaby on Jul-25-2007 00:13:

ok, so not like I have been a huge fan of mr. verwest since the 1999-2003 days, but this weekend at tiesto in concert was the event of the year so far!!!!! I am not even kidding. I cant say enough. if he keeps playing that sick shit I will be all over his shit again (circa 2001!!!) LOL

NYTA's review: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...26&pagenumber=1

(mine is on page 3)

Tiesto was throwing down classics, new shit, and filling up space and the last couple hours with BANGIN beats....no fluff to end the set. tech-trance and hard beats, holy FUCK it was the perfect all-around set, and I am soo glad I gave TIC a chance!! (helps to have a siiikkk atmoshpere from TIC!!!)

Hi Tranceaddicts,

Before I begin, let me just tell you that I've requested somebody to type this for me, as my English isn't the best and everybody here would not be able to understand everything I say if I wrote it myself.

I've been visiting this site and Trance.nu for a few years now, have even tried making some accounts under various names and posting for a while, but I was never involved properly. I've seen how discussion board mentalities have changed over the years, and that could be a lot due to how trance or EDM in general has changed over the years.

Let me get to the point. I've read about me, and my 'commercial' ventures, your perception of my production skills, and the changes that have come across them, about things like me endorsing Reebok shoes, and opening my own restaurant, and playing at the Olympics etc etc. I have absolutely no issues with any of the criticism you guys, or atleast some of you'll think I deserve, as I know everybody has an opinion, though I would like to clear up a few issues. I did the Olympics, because no DJ has ever done that before. I would be a fool to refuse such an offer. My production has evolved over the years according to the scene at the time, it was different in 1998, and will be totally different, come 2008, and I have tried my best to adapt myself to my listeners. The restaurant is a commercial venture, nothing to do with the music or my image, it is just I've always wanted to do, and since I'm financially well off to begin something like this, I took it up. The Reebok endorsement is one of the few things I regret doing. I was a bit under the influence of alcohol when I was presented the offer, and I did not spend enough time thinking about it. But I learn from my mistakes, and hopefully I'm a wiser man now.

That was that. About the trance scene today, I would like to say that it's pretty black and white. Some of the work coming out today is absolutely outstanding, while some of it is terrible (I can imagine what you must be thinking after reading that, ). But every genre has its phases, and it's highs and lows, and I'm sure there is enough talent to carry the scene forward.

As much as I can, I will try and contribute from now on TranceAddict, as I have realized that under a lot of the cynicism and haughtiness here, there is a true understanding, knowledge and pure love for EDM everywhere. I can handle criticism and I will be be open-minded while posting. Call it trying to connect with listeners as well, but I've found Tranceaddict to be thoroughly entertaining in the process.

Looking forward to having a good time here, in a number of ways.

Tijs.

p.s. I've been visiting for a few years, so I know this applies.
