That actually takes effort. I've heard of people ripping off other people's promo mixes, changing the filename to their own, and then using that as their promo, but forgetting to change the ID3 tags. I think some people should know what I'm referring to here, lol. Anyway, I'm sure this happens quite a bit.

that'd actually make for one BRUTAL dj, becuase personally i consider a set that i like 70% of the music an AMAZING set, usually i'll like a handful of song from any given set, or like them in a club, but will change my mind hearing them in an ordinary environment. Usually it takes me browsing tons of pages of online records stores, and dozens of sets for me to compile a compilation.

This should never had been revealed to public till the loser had got caught and got what he deserverd. Although the imposer already knows he's been caught but making this thread just doesn't do anything right at the moment.

some DJ from Belleville names Justin Anderson did that to Mike Gleeson last year. There was a classic thread on tribe.ca about it. I contacted the guy and told him i heard his set and wanted to book him to play an event. offered him $1000 etc.. he was so hyped.

then someone on tribe ruined the gag. people started blowing up his myspace page and his message board with all sorts of hilarious shit. then it got crazy.. buddy works at a radio station in belleville.. people started calling the station and harassing him over it..

then he claimed that his friend "accidentally" uploaded the file to his website under the wrong name LOL
