i see alone tonight as an incredibly average & forgettble track once you remove the vocals. no distinctive hook, a bland chord progression & a completely generic backing with no energy or groove. it's like they came up with the vocals and just threw together a purely functional backing track in the space of an hour to make it 'danceable'

the vocals themselves i find horribly grating & turgid; the whole track's emphasis is on them & it's the kind of voice i'd expect in 80s synthpop power-ballads. basically i have never once not been able to hear it without cringing horribly/leaving the room

i guess push come to shove i'd actually take anthem over it, since the lyrics in that are so bad they're actually funny.. and i can at least half-convince myself that filo & peri were drunk & having a bit of a laugh when they wrote it. with this i can't, it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth (much like just about everything else A&B stand for)

IMO the Anthem blew big. I don't know why people kept on giving the song support. I hated the song when the vocals began and wish it was really a cheesy rock song instead of being produced by Filo & Peri.

yeah anthem is the WOSRST track ive ever heard, its not FUCKING trance, its GARBAGGE!!

its good to compare the past with the stuff thats goin on in todays trance.. but every track isnt made so EVERYONE who listens 2 trance likes.. if u like it.. great, buy it, listen to it, and bump it in the club.. if it works on the club and gets ppl moving and jumpin.. WHY NOTTT
