no offense, but that's kinda why it's not a great idea, imo. at the end of the day, it has some substance to it, so someone more cynical could say it's just another, more creative alternative to the e-mails. I know that's not the idea, but I'm just sayin...

I'm sure plenty of people will say that, Simon and Greg essentially already have, but at this point, it's already begun, and it doesn't bother me that people will think that.

It's really their issue at this point, not mine, and the way I see it - a vote wasted on me is a vote significantly less wasted than if it had been on anyone else.

Like I said, if people are in, they're in, if they aren't - well I hope they have a good day doing whatever the hell else they're doing.

so you've given up the being a good dj path to recognition and resorted to this.

and I think this would only be potentially funny if we voted a fictional character in the top 100, chuck norris, tiny 2 month old baby jesus..etc..etc.

Yes, because lords knows I've completely given up on even trying to pretend I ever put any effort into this at all.

Fucks sake - if you honestly think that something like that is going to somehow "offend" me, or make me think any less of myself, you really haven't the foggiest.

Is there anything else then?

I like to think of Jesus as a mischievous badger.

Like I said in Music Discussion...

I'm abstaining from even visiting the DJ Mag site for the obvious reasons, but I support Robs campaign.

Fuck this is cracking me up. A few of you are a bit worked up over this, huh?

Excuse my ignorance, but why are youall upset/pissy/or seem ruined just because he's doing this for himself? Like really, how does it hurt or affect you in any way personally. Every time we hit the vote button, a member of your family dies?

To be honest, it's no different than when Sugarbean comes in here asking for votes for some modeling contest, or really any other time people have come to c0r for help with something (whether it be a dildo or tree or anything else) - the only difference is, this time it's for a contest that is generally despised as a purely commercial venture, used solely for the purpose of marketing, and known for producing insane amounts of junk email and spam.

As a result of this, I'm sure many people would like to lump me in with those who hire PR firms to spam the piss out of anyone who's ever heard their name solely to disparage my efforts, I can assure you - I have, and will be putting minimal effort into this, and be relying solely on family and friends word of mouth to help. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out - no real time or energy wasted.

August is a bore of a month anyway

As previously stated by hundreds of ppl on this site..

Dj bullshit Mag Top 100 is a piece of shit poll. Maybe next year there can be a massive boycott on the damn thing.

If I do vote .. then Rob can count on a vote from me [as did MikeyMike].

But i still haven't decided whether i even want to vote.

Posted by Boomer187 on Aug-16-2007 05:09:

Seriously, how funny would it be to get a fictional character on the list, Dj pedobear, dj jezzycrezzy, ygrene!!!!!

plus I think its too easy to get a rise outta rjt, so thats why people get 'pissy'

Shame I haven't "risen" for you all yet then

Good to see someone acknowledging they simply haven't anything better to do though.
