Going to see Patrick DSP rock U60311 in Frankfurt in October! (plus he has gigs in Holland and eastern Europe this Fall). He is often booked in Brazil as well.

It would be nice to see Greg play more international gigs these days, he used to get booked outside Canada now and again, sort of like Mateo Murphy.

my answer to that would be in every business there are trend setters, and trend followers. Like 'work', you can choose to go and do what everyone else is doing and collect your paycheque, but it's it those individuals who seek more than just the norm who MOLD and help CREATE a scene/movement. It only takes 1 person to venture out there and take that risk. You might be content at being part of 'the norm' and doing what everyone else does and collect your paycheque. I don't.

I think for these promoters and people who claim to care so much about the 'scene', they have a responsibility of not only bringing IN international and recognized talent, but to promote and encourage the grass roots and local stuff as well. Like sports.

On that note, I'd like to congratulate all these 'local' dj's who are making their mark on the international stage...I think it's about time. We have more talent here that most people realize.
I agree with a lot of what you had said... that's one reason I preferred Sona over Aria (now RIP for both).
