Basmati rice is of Indian origin not Iranian. It is one of the traditional Indian superior quality rice and is usually quite expensive compared to other varieties.

I'm aware of that.
But whenever I think of Iranian food I think of Basmati Rice, mainly because whenever I go to an Iranian resto, it's always on the menu and they serve it with everything.

some of you people need a lesson on what "stereotype" means.

saying black people eat watermelon is a stereotype. saying that Greeks eat feta and olives is just common knowledge because it's part of their cuisine.

Cods > Nandos.

Cods are, like, a symbol of Portugueseship. The Portuguese themselves are like cods, thanks to their history of oceanic endeavours that discovered huge terrestrial lands and uncovered great mysterious mysteries. I'm here thanks to the Portuguese Empire and the cods eaten by the brave sailors.

The 2nd greatest Portuguese symbol, their wine, also pays homage to the great Cod God. We all know Baco stands for Bacolhau, the Latin word for Cod. And that Baco is the drunkard God.

It's time for us Portuguese-blooded people to believe in Cod. Noikeee, Me, Swamper and everyone else with Portuguese heritage.

In Cod We Trust.

Yummmm you got me all nostalgic there...

"Moules la marinire" is a very popular dish in France..I used to eat it all the time when I lived there. That's why I mentioned it. Also, forgot to mention another favorite: "Pot au feu".
