I just don't understand how you can say that Space is smaller than Vanguard. You've been to both places right?

From what I hear, Mansion is taking steps to making this night darker and more music oriented for his night. They are also clearing a lot of the floor for dancing. Great news for sure..

Steve's point is the bottle crowd is not his deal, Give him a seedy dark joint with music heads that look whacked enjoying his music. I only see pics from vangaurd but it reminds me of the south beach clubs we have here that people are there to be cool and dont care about the music. Where as space and twilo(b4 it closed) were the grimy music joints. He just wants it to be for music not guys buying bottles and coked up whores who want to be there to look cool

vanguard has their share of that but there are a ton of edm educated people that go there as well. best sound system in LA! and it's pretty fckin dark in there and the vibe doesn't feel contrived or too LA, or whatever you want to call it, most of the times. especially for lawler.

the people that get photographed other than the TA's are the seen and be seen crowd but i guess they are prettier to look at so they get their pic taken while the rest of the club is dancing their asses off

If you frequent LA trance clubs or events (especially the bigger ones) you can't miss em.

Avalon has the darkness...but it's not 'underground' AT ALL. C'mon man

Ghost Smilie

I think Club Vegas would be the perfect venue for Lawler. It reminds me a lot of a club in Toronto called System Soundbar. Dark, low ceilings... perfect for Lawler, since he apparently wants a more underground venue.

The only thing they need to work on is the air conditioning. It was terrible. Also, one of the speakers went out last night when Mauro played. Other than that, the sound was alright, but they need to work on making it sound more crisp & clear.

hah if he wants to play underground he'll just have to start playing warehouse raves with no permits, that get busted early, and you don't even know where its gonna be until the day of when you have to call some shitty infoline that tells you the party is 25 miles away, and then a few hours later you get there and find out they changed the location. not to mentions the countless numbers of underage e-tards who have absolutely no appreciation for good music, and listen to gabber and happy hardcore.

THAT'S UNDERGROUND!
