They all play music, and my iRiver rocks. I hope to see you in a sports bar in the future

How will one go about making a local call with that thing?

any word on preview?
BEATLES???!!!!
iPods are shit.
They have always been shit.
They will always be shit.
Their software...shit.
Their design...shit.
Their battery life...shit.
Their capacity...shit.
Their price...shit.
Their headphones...complete shit.
See where I'm going with this?
The only thing that isn't complete shit is their marketing, which has evidently done the job...
The design is ok...
the output on the shuffle was probably the best I've ever heard (before it fell apart in my hands, Three Stooges style) for a portable music player.
I wouldn't buy a hard disk iPod, but I will definitely repurchase a Shuffle as soon as I gather my funds back.

ive had my 80gb for near 2 years now. and i use and abuse it. and its still perfect. just gotta know how to take care of your shit i guess.

In addition, rumors that Apple will make an announcement regarding the Beatles catalog have circulated for some time and may come to a head tomorrow. The rumors have been partially fueled by content selections in the leaked iPod interface videos and also by the recent addition of John Lennon's solo work to iTunes.

Originally posted by Fledz The sound quality is brilliant (read any review, anywhere) even with the standard headphones, and especially with the newer design ones.

Originally posted by Sushipunk Well, that's sort of a moot point anyway. You're listening to MP3's, which are highly compressed anyway, and sound crappy. The difference between the various players' sound quality is almost negligible.

Originally posted by Sushipunk I have owned a Creative player before, and have a bunch of friends who still own one. Almost all of them wish they had a different player, for varying reasons though. And, to say the sound quality is 'worlds better' is a massive exaggeration. Go and test the difference in sound quality output on a few types of studio monitors, and see how much difference you find. Not much. At all. Though, I have only attempted to test the difference (between MP3 players) on Yamaha HS-80s and Alesis Monitor 2's.
