Not really. It mean 3.3 grams of alcohol per 1000 ml of blood. Hence, the 0.33% reading.

I never said I was driving, because I wasn't. I only mentioned it because you claimed that it was a given that you'd be hospitalized & brain-dead if you hit that level, and you were wrong.

Heh wrong person. The reply was actually directed at the OP but in your case, yes for most people 0.40 is a fatal level. Do some research. People who can handle 0.40+ and not pass out or die are very rare, or extremely tolerant due to amazing genes or massive alcohol abuse.
