Beuuuuuaaaaaaaarrrrrkkkkk....

"only boom boom "
yeah right.. !
he's spinning Progressive-Trance

last time he played.. ill name u some of them

Marco V - Godd
Cosmic Gate - Back 2 Earth (Shokk Mix)
Emanuel Top - Acid Phase (Kai Tracid Mix)
Marc Dawn - Expander (Flutlicht Mixxx)
DJ Passion - Pitch Black

and so on
he allways play mellodic trance.. it's just much harder than the others

i saw sandra collins a couple of months ago in toronto and she looked like such a crackhead

her mixing seemed alright for the most part, but an odd thing happened that ive never seen before

in the middle of a song rested her hand on the table or something (i wan't watching her) and all of a sudden she hit the '45' button on the table (the record was recorded at 33 )

she fixed it within like 3 seconds (pretty long time if you ask me )
it was fucking hilarious though

but 99% of the people there probably didn't notice anyways, stupid guv crowd

as for danny d
hahaah
he's a joke
but he can mix and i do respect him in that sense
i mean ive heard him live on the radio a couple times and he'll fly through records (you have to do that when you're playing radio cheese...you can never play 2 breakdowns or you'll be shot haha) with relative ease ...

although the sets could be pre-recorded and/or he coudl be using cd-tables and have all the pitches premeditated...in which case i retract my last comment

Gotta love the stupid crowds. Last year sometime, I'd gone to see Danny Howells at Tribal Sessions. He was playing a pretty prog set (as you'd expect), and me and some friends were sat at the back marvelling at how the mitzi's we'd been sold were fucking amazing for a change, when all of a sudden the music dies and the fire alarm starts going off.

What do the crowd round the DJ do? Assume it's just a really progessive breakdown that they don't quite get, so they start cheering and clapping and throwing their hands in the air!! Ahh, the delights of people not wanting their ignorance to surface...

Posted by BTG on Apr-25-2002 16:05:

Paul Oakenfold is the worst DJ ever. I dont 'really like his choice in music, and he's a sellout in my books! damn him and all his movie sound tracks! ;D

Posted by Redeye on Apr-25-2002 17:22:

Evil1

My Top 5 worst djs are:

1) Jonathan Peters
2) Tony Draper
3) John Debo
4) Eddie Baez
5) DJ Jean

DJ Redeye

j/k REDEYE ROXXXXXXX!!!! AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Posted by Redeye on Apr-25-2002 17:28:

actually I take it all back

DJ Hampster is the worst dj in the world

Posted by THE_Chris on Apr-25-2002 17:56:

Bah... all of your complaints pale in comparison to all my local DJ's....

All they ever do is play the cheesy commercial shit like Daft Punk - One more time, DB Boulevard - Point of view, Pink - Get the party started, and all the other shit that I'd rather hit my head off a wall than listen/dance to. And they dont mix... they suddenly end one track and start the next. It makes me sick.

In all my times of going to those clubs, I have never EVER heard a track that I actually really like. And shocking shite like Shite FX - Shake your body doesnt actually count as good music.

Posted by Scorchio on Apr-25-2002 18:39:

The worst DJ would have to be DJ Yahel
Hes good as a producer
but he sucks bigtime as a DJ, he cant mix for shit and he keeps notes of the track's BPM...

Urban Train & the Legacy like you already said and what about
Work in Progress - I Won't Let you Down (Darren Tate mix)Minimalistix - Close Cover
Three Drives - Sunset on Ibiza
Tillman Uhrmacher - On The Run (Ocean to the Shore Club Version)
Mauro Picotto - Verdi (Megavoices Claxxis Mix)

I think this ia really a great set

i agree this set is pretty good, fair enought most of the tunes have been played on daytime radio now, but back then i would've liked the set (esp. martin eyerer - heaven )
there were no really bad tunes played the worst part might have been there "let freedom reign" accapella

*edit: i remembered that he also did that gay thing were he stops the vinyl and they plays it again, WTF IS THE POINT?????

The trackselection was good but the mixing was kinda boring aka there is no mixing (as someone wrote).
Judge Jules has done a couple of sets with pretty fun mixing, but this was so "vanilla", so "by the book" sort of speak.. to me it sounded like a normal "trance hits! cd" or something like that.

lol you're making me laugh

I agree with the other one, DJ Noise IS PURE noise. He's an old skool DJ and imo he'd been spending too much time with DJing, I don't really like his usual "boom" style. Blaeh!

Posted by Biohazard on Apr-30-2002 00:01:

There is also this other DJ in my local club who sucks major ass. I have never heard this dude mix he just connects the tunes together with pre-recorded swooosh sounds or other weird sounds, oh and he also likes to talk trash and rap over the musik he plays.

Posted by JammyBee on Apr-30-2002 09:54:

Judge Jules has gone down hill!!! Anyone see the miami thing on sky that was presented by Mr C!!! Jules just goes on and on about nothing!!!

But most of the local DJ's suck!

Posted by Marc_Garcia on Apr-30-2002 10:26:

1 - marc spoon
(big fucked up guy with an attitude)

2 - dj dag (em how do i beatmix???)

3 - dj jean

Posted by MaGiK54 on May-01-2002 20:28:

Jean sucks big time and nobody mentioned Mark van Dale yet. That fat ass mf can't mix, bad music taste. And he played before Ferry Corsten. The crowd was sleeping and where leaving because of @$#%@#
Mark van Dale.

But Ferry was I nice wake up call

Posted by Jocker on May-02-2002 01:41:

the first time i've spinned in the club i must say i thought i was the worst dj (i trainwrecked twice, but both times it was not my fault: someone else touched the vinyls , and there were no monitors there either, and belt-driven turntables... anyway, i am just looking for excuses to make myself feel better) but after the night a number of people came up to me and said that my performance was unbelievable (go figure )... as for possible explanation: the guy before me spun house/prog/tribal and i dropped down a couple of trance tracks and then 100% pure hardtrance, which was unheard of in my homecity

djing is not about technical skill as it should be .... some of the best technical djs arnt even popular .... cuz the honest truth is majority people cant tell the difference from a shitty mix or a good mix ... thats why i said most djs arnt technically good as others are

Posted by PhaseFour on May-02-2002 02:19:

*warning, teenager about to speak*

worst dj?

well, its gotta be that one at junior statesmen dance (yeah, i actually went :-/). WEll, i had to hang out in the dance room before the thing started to do some stuff, and i saw techs (the turntables)! ive never seen em at a dance before! i went up to flick them, and they were plastic

anyway, he played goth rock for most of the time.

*ends teen talk*

gotta be dj jean or dj alligator.

Posted by Trancer85 on May-02-2002 02:29:

ya i was there too and i noticed that as well, but i didn't care, coz sandra was so fucked up! when she spun Troy (John Creamer & Stephane K Remix) she was actually signing to that whole song, which was nice to see that she's having fun and she really enjoyed that night, most of the people that came up to her with there hands, she shoke them, signed some records

now i think that the worst dj's have to be all the commercial one's...and i mean the really commercial one's you always here about..with those cheesey productions u hear about, DJ Alligator, all the cheesey dj's from toronto, Darude, some of them hip-hop dj's who pretend their big-shots and can't really spin for more than an hour jungle & dnb MC's, fuck i hate that, i mean dnb & jungle is sooo nice without those bastards rapping so fast, they just kill the song away

Posted by Dj Zinni on May-02-2002 02:56:

I am gonna say the Dj's on 88.1 the Ashland University Radio station in Ohio. They think they are all revolutionary and crap by playing stuff like Toca S Miracle, Sandstorm, Iio - rapture, and gorillaz in their regular Rnb Rap crap. Plus when they do mixes 75% are trainwrecks and through genres hehe. they went straight from Roll Out to Castles in the Sky, I almost shit my pants in laughter.
