alright ill jump on the DJ Wishlist bandwagon

GABRIEL AND DRESDEN

Posted by Neo Hacker on Sep-05-2007 04:08:

I'd take Above & Beyond over Gabriel & Dresden though...but that's just me. I found Jono and Paavo awesome at BeB 2007

so the look of a dj is important to you ? Paavo looks like a nerd yeah, but who cares. Many people had a blast when they came at BeB.

+9000

Come on Neo, give it up, you're suffering from Pro-longed-trance-liking-syndrome, most common in elves like yourself.

Please just start liking house, I'll give you Sasha sets and vids, I swear I have a video of him and Chuck Norris kicking Tiesto's ass.

it was not just his look, it was his actions that made me want to vomit! why couldnt he just chill out like dave clarke and play songs

because it's their way when they're having fun. As long as they're having fun and throwing good stuff that I enjoy, I say it's fine. The DJ could be a midget with 4 arms and 2 heads, if he mix good stuff then I'll be happy !

Alex, I'm starting to like House a bit. I enjoy Sander K sets and I'm thinking about going to see Sasha @ Tribes. But, Trance's still my kind of music. I'm beginning to think that we should call the MTLTA forum, Montreal House Addict forum. It's like if people who likes Trance aren't welcome to post here.

Posted by Snarcher! on Sep-05-2007 15:57:

the midget would have the sence not to jump around flailing his arms like a mental patient

above and beyond plays real nice driving to work music, but nothing that i would want to "party to"

come on its like freakin wussy chick vocals

gimmie some bad boy bill! WOOO!!

I respect that about you, Sean Tyas has done alot for trance

but, any dj that spins just their songs & mixes (or 96% of the set) isn't a good dj

yes, I think most househeads like trance, actually .. but just not for dancing to at these parties. I cleaned my toilet to Tiesto the other day

Lol

Posted by Snarcher! on Sep-05-2007 18:01:

trance is great cleaning the room music, agreed!

but for a party i need to jump around to a funky bad ass beat!

Posted by Spin Laden on Sep-05-2007 18:08:

we listened to ISOS 4 even on the drive down to Sensation -more palatable for n00b tastes if they happen to be present.

Enig, women look way sexier dancing to house too

Posted by Mr Moss on Sep-05-2007 18:46:

mkay so a massive book for trance would be like 4h of ferry or svd with preach closing

a massive book for house would be like 4h of sasha or digweed or carl cox or howells with some good mtl local closing

then theres sven vath haha

is it rly gonna be that massive?

Well good thing I love House too, and LOVE dancing to it.

I dance the same way to both, just a little faster when it's Trance playing.

And seriously you guys should stop hating on Trance, you don't like it, we get it, give it a rest already..Trance is still gonna be at massives wether you like it or not...have fun while House is playing, and when it's the Trance portion of the night, you can just get the hell out, sheesh.

Man I'm REALLY glad I love both Trance AND House. I always have a ball the entiiire night.

personally I think this new business model these guys are using cannot be sustained. The old saying, "you try to please everyone, and you end up pleasing no one" applies here, imo.

The mass exodus of ppl for Halliwell (and part of Armin's) set pretty much says it all.. if they are gonna go that route, then the safer bet is to have majority of it house for that kind of party, keep the trance stuff to an early night minimum. I had a great time for about five hours.. no chance I'm gonna do hotel and ticket again for only five hours of beats.

Exactly right.....I think 3 years ago (Cream) had the perfect blend..

All solid House names (Digweed, Sander K, DeepDish etc), one trance name (Ferry Corsten)....

It was packed to the rafters, and it wasnt like Sensation, where the VIP booths and the dj booth took up most of the space

Cream 2k1 was still better

Pete tong
Barbara
Timo Maas
Dave Ralph

anyways my point is

FUCK TRANCE !!

Best party is house + tech/house

And untill Beb and other party makers realise that .,... then it'll suck !
