Agree with Lakers and Celtic's being important to the NBA but I disagree with the Pistons.

Rather watch those two teams then Spurs and Pistons every year.

tonight was teh best dunk contest to date...

dwight howard should get a raise for his dunks...

honestly, I was trying to humor if there are any piston fans... probably not though, so I was being silly....

Lakers and Celtics for sure, I hate the pistons, don't get me wrong, but some people(vern) care for the Pistons...

I care to see a pistons-celtics Eastern Conference finals, that's about it

I'll boycott the NBA finals if it's Spurzzz-Pistonzzz

btw the west looks, i have no idea who will make it to the western conference semifinals. the standings are tighter than a virgin's ............ nevermind .

btw, the lakers took a serious blow with kobe's injured pinky. because of the tight race, the lakers can't afford to lose another starter(bynum out). i am sure kobe is going to try to play through the pain, but he's definately not going to be 100%. we will see how the lakers are going to deal with this one.

but it's so tight in the western conference, the 9th place team can jump to 1st in a matter of 2 weeks if things go right for that team.

as for the LEastern conference, there's boston, detroit, and orlando(maybe......) and then there's the field. that is seriously bad. with atlanta and miami making blockbuster trades, i expect them to make strong pushes in the 2nd half, pushing a 65+ winning percentage in the stretch.

Posted by Sinatra on Feb-18-2008 00:12:

The West is amazing to watch this year. A team like the Nuggets or Rockets could win 50+ games this year and still miss out on the playoffs.

I love it.. Plus all the trade rumors right now enhance it.

Can't the Lakers just keep healthy. Dammit!!! Dwight was insane last night in the dunk contest, fun events to watch.

Posted by Eddie N MIAMI on Feb-19-2008 19:07:

slam dunk contest was just too cool.....and seeing mymymymy Kapono win the 3 point contest and tie Craig Hodges was as well

as for the allstar game, I coudnt watch one minute of it.cause of the jerseys.

Ugly is one thing,The west jerseys looked liked the Wizards jersey on acid, but these are the most confusing uniforms too. With those front and back jerseys with different colors , I know it confused a lot of people watching the game and I imagine the players as well.

mad props to that.

its a shame Kobes future this season is uncertain, I was looking forward to seeing the Lakers actually compete for a title with Gasol now.

I think the Nets got the better end of the Jason Kidd trade

I got off work early today for the cable guy to come. My take on the trade:

Terrible move by Dallas. To be quite frank, I'd rather have Devin Harris TODAY, yet alone 3 years from now. His PER (rating for NBA players on ESPN) is 2 pts higher than Kidd. Kidd hasn't played very well this year, whether that's lack of motivation or old age is to be determined. However, Harris is playing better now overall. Then you throw in all the other players, two low first round picks? I think the Nets fleeced the Mavs. Sounds like a panic move yet again (just like the Snack trade to Phoenix).

By the way, I absolutely abhore the LA Fakers. To see them in the finals would make me puke. However, would I rather see the Spurzzzz again? By the way, I'm trademarking Spurzzz. HELLS NO! Anything BUT the Spurzzz or the Pistonzzz. Celtics I'm fine with, KG deserves success. Although Ray Allen hasn't been that brilliant this year (and I've always been a big Allen guy).

this suns lakers game is actually living up to his hype..

kobe is trying to take over and out play shaq... obviously shaq is old and wont put up huge numbers but just for instance kobe tried to block a shot by shaq and it was an obvious goal tending...

stoudemire's 34 and 14 arent too shabby either..

btw

kobe's 41 and 6 vs shaq's 15 and 9

w/ 2 min go to...

Posted by Eddie N MIAMI on Feb-21-2008 05:15:

yeah great game

I thought Shaq did well, he looked fresh to me...damn him lol...but yeah he was hustling on a lot of plays and looked slimmer for some reason....again, damn him lol...he even shaved,so metro,Gasol needs to shave, he looks like he smells bad

first NBA game ive seen in a while, very good game, kobe is a badass, best of luck to Shaq the rest of the season, with the Heat pretty much out of it anyways, ima root for the Suns to win the title.

Cavs are going to destory the East now.

Posted by Kapedano on Feb-21-2008 23:27:

Good move by the Spurs

Love the trade by the cavs. I still do not think Suns or Lakers will ever beat the Spurs. Now Mavs..maybe. Spurs - Cavs rematch?

Posted by aBigWreck on Feb-21-2008 23:42:

It's very possible, the depth that the Cavs have now is as good or better then anyone else in the East. They got to the finals last year riding there hard nosed defense and Lebron being sublime. Now Lebron has 2 legitamate outside threats on the team and some added interior defense to help against the Sheeds, Howards, and Garnetts of the East.

Unless they match up vs the Pistons early in the playoffs I think they will be fine. Larry Hughes was at least a quick perimitere defender. Wally World is anything but that.

Gasol is a perfect fit.. Lakers and Spurs Conference Finals and when Bynum comes back to form no one will be able to compete against that.

Check out the poetry, and this doozy of a quote:
