| Originally posted by Allied Nations No one is out every night... only crazy people.... I'm talking people who go out consistently. Not people who go to massives twice a year and think they have a handle on whats really going on with house in the city. Shit, I barely know shit relative to how much there is to be known about things going on in the EDM scene in Montreal. So many house music people in this city it's impossible to know it all. ALways someone doing a new night somewhere with some dj etc etc etc... And on another note, I really don't gain anything by promoting cherry on here. I work there because I like the place, I spin there because I like the place and tell my friends about it because I like it. If I wasn't working there I'd be partying there so it made sense. |
I should name drop a list of djs I've seen in this city alone in the past year.. one could argue I've seen more bookings than several Montreal TAs even. And it's not just that, our locals too. You should come check out "nothing better to do in the O-town" Club Heaven sometime

- Eric Prydz
- Max Graham
- Bad Boy Bill
- Markus Schulz

and have been to countless resident nights here, as well as sketchville afterhours, Helsinki, private dj parties, etc. This doesn't include gigs in Toronto and Vancouver too...
I already said it wasn't about bookings...
to be honest I could care less about most of those names and if i made you my list you'd shit your pants
not that they all suck, just that theres more to it than a big name dj
omg, everyone vs Greg.
I'll take Greg's side.
Greg, do the Pot-Dragon and scare these guys away!

| Originally posted by Spin Laden Interesting viewpoint though..a big chunk of ppl on here have day jobs (or jobs in general) and can't do the kind of sched to constantly stay "in the know" with the scene.. or they may have other hobbies and priorities too. They may not have the same knowledge base when it comes to naming tracks or discussing the dj's setup but it doesn't make them any less passionate about the music. |

Tribe Hyper Club on Thursday nights...Music is usually good there, depending sure on the DJ spinning on that night. Club Opera on Sunday is the sick place too with regards to the club itself. The music there is ok.
Cherry, seems like a nice place. Just needs work on the sound system. Plus I can not wait until Nelson moves the entrance to side or the back of the building.
