It's not my really type, I think I'd like it more with less vocal! however, it's freaking DUMB that ppl think Ferry should've remixed track into Uplifting Trance! r u fucking nuts? do a trance of an old rap or hip hop song? that's just dumb, i think ferry did a good remix, so did Benny. Ferry does Electro and Trance, and I bet this tune is his new production:

Can you or anybody else confirm if this is Ferry's new tune? Or who's tune it is? New, old?

I really like it.

Posted by GoSpeedGo! on Oct-22-2007 15:16:

Yeah, those claps are trademark Ferry. Bassline a bit too.

I quite enjoyed this, sounds like it could be on the brighter side of today's uplfting.

Edit: To avoid any misunderstandings, I'm of course talking about the tune Golf posted, not that 'Bring The Noise' crap

fuckin' terrible garbage tune

Well, Public Enemy have never agreed to anything like this before, on the claiming they would never sell out, so I'm curious as to why they would now, and with this song, which in my opinion is not so good.

Last weekend Chuck D was in Amsterdam to visit the ADE. Heard an interview with him on the radio. He said he really appreciated the dance scene and it's music. That might be a reason why he decided to let Ferry do this rmx.

I can't confirm it "officiallly," but as paulandrews said it really sounds Ferry Corsten production. Yes it's new, he has played it couple it in 2007 sets, such as Dopler set.

Here's also a video from Vanguard :

I don't even bother listening to anything Corsten does anymore. He used to be one of my favourite trance producers and ever since 2005, his productions have just gone down the drain.

Yeah, specially with Public Enemy being so underground and shit...

Posted by Watts on Oct-24-2007 04:50:

Chuck D has always been about being boundless in his beats.

Obviously everyone ran over the Anthrax collaboration comment.

Pretty good. And definitely Ferry. Melody sounds quite similar to Sweet Sorrow.

Posted by LoveHate on Oct-24-2007 06:21:

here is the chuck D and ferry press conference where he explains it all.

Who said anything about them being underground? They were probably the biggest hip-hop gruop in the late 80's early 90's, and they also recorded some of the best selling rap-songs of their time!

Posted by Cellec on Oct-24-2007 14:55:

He made this track not as Ferry the DJ but as Ferry the Producer!! Just experimenting and when a big shot like Chuck D himself asks you to do a remix of one of his biggest tracks every... aren't you insane if you would turn it down?

Wow, this is some shocking news. Definitely needed those italics to stress the point, otherwise we wouldn't be able to get it

that just sounds like sweet sorrow with a change of melody

Posted by Moral Hazard on Oct-24-2007 18:24:

I like it; however, I think that's more because I like Public Enemy then because of the remix itself... I'll take the original anyday.
