until djs take more risks at playing different music, the general population gives other types of music a listen, promoters bring different talent, and radio stations take a chance and push the boundaries...it's going to be the same.

No, it's not Trance and in fact most Trance shows are bombing here now. Dallas is known by DJ's to have one of the best House scenes in the country.....yet same shit, when one of the big names comes through, we don't get a set they would play in Miami or LA. We get generic shit.

And word Nicole. It isn't going to change any time soon.

speaking of house : the crowd's response to mark farina at ghostbar a coupla weeks ago was a pleasant surprise, as was his set -- a bit of a departure from his usual. i'm really looking forward to seeing what happens with felix da housecat this thursday.

I'm happy that over the past couple of months I've seen a rising interest for IDM, Minimal Techno and Acid house, in a forum where trance used to be the favorite dish.

Sharper, you take the word "Trance Addict" a little bit too serious and let me remind you that we're in 2007 and a big percentage of users in this forum are fans of other genres.

Yeah, it's a shame Lance isn't in there because he has a great reputation as a dj, promoter, producer and friend. I think Dave and I can say that we're both lucky he helped us out, I can safely say he plays a big role in my musical journey, or somethin'
