I much prefer the light in the morning. In the evenings I'm just doing homework in my room anyways, what do I care.

if I made a thread about a wrong time change, or yet another thread about weird time change my computer has made, then yeah great post Digi
i just reminded everyone about dayling savings time:P and woke up to a properly adjusted time on my laptop

Did you actually read any of the previous posts as I suggested, or did you once again just reply on emotional impulse?

Read the previous posts. My comment was not a reply to any of yours.

P.S. What's dayling?

P.P.S. "SAD" is a load of horse shit. The real problem is "NFD" (No Fucking Discipline)

Actually, no it isn't.

i dunno...i think my best friend has it...and honestly i see a difference in her during winter...she constantly complains of depression, fatigue, saddness and the rest of S.A.D symptoms...as soon as spring rolls around she's all happy and normal again

Really? I'd like to see your sources for that, because the link between mood disorders and lack of sunlight has been well documented. It has to do with the release of melatonin during the winter...which regulates the body's response to changing light conditions. Not to mention that you absorb vitamin D through the sun, which as you probably know, helps in the absorption of calcium...which plays an important role in mood, among many other functions in the body.

Posted by DigiNut on Nov-06-2007 01:24:

Yes Jenny, and yes to the girl on top, these things are all true. But everything in a person's external environment affects their mood. Simply because this happens does not make it legitimate to slap a medical label on it and call it a "disorder". If my asshole is sore after taking a massive dump, I don't go around telling people I have "Asshole Elongation Disorder".

Particularly when a specific stimulus affects every single person the same way, it's highly disingenuous to call it a "disorder", which implies that there's some biological um, disorder, responsible for it. There's no disorder, moodiness and altered sleeping patterns are common in the wintertime, and people who have a modicum of fucking discipline find ways to deal with it instead of blaming all of their problems on the weather.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Nov-06-2007 01:28:

LoL...anything to make you feel like you're right, eh?

Posted by DigiNut on Nov-06-2007 01:34:

Ok then, surely you can explain the physiological differences between someone who "has" SAD and someone who doesn't? What makes some people more susceptible than others?

Posted by Silky Johnson on Nov-06-2007 01:42:

Yes dear, you're right. *pat on head*
