Let's be honest here. Whilst it's a tragic incident, the majority of us are going straight to hell anyway and have been for a long time (Mostly thanks to Karim posting tbgirl) so one more silly comment isn't going to change that. This however is what happens when you let things go on in places with ass-backwards policies.

The only reason this hardly or never happens in Europe and US or any other civil western country,is because before you enter a club, you always get checked out for weapons.

At least thats how it goes in Holland.

Pretend that this never happens here and i assure you that stuff like that could happen here as well.

You will always have fucked up people among the crowd but if you disarm them before entering you could prevent stuff like this.

Still sad to see and hear.

The problem is much deeper rooted in society than this. Getting checked out for weapons won't solve anything. If people still want to get weapons inside, they'll find a way. And btw, we don't have any security measures like that when entering clubs in Sweden. Have never been searched for weapons, with rare exceptions (Netherlands is one ), when clubbing in ~10 different European countries.

Perhaps in your twisted world. Enjoy your suspension.

I was wondering how long it would take for that video to be removed from youtube...

And you need to take your own advice - oh wait, I'm sorry, I'm sure you and your "Stargirl" are just living life at the top. My mistake.

I hope this wasn't intentional when you wrote this.

It's just like that movie City of God, only it takes place in Venezuela instead of Brazil.

Posted by RJT on Nov-05-2007 18:18:

Has anyone actually heard any of the details yet, or is it still too early?

In my mind (which is oftentimes wrong), I guess it just seems like something like this would more likely be premeditated than random violence - but who knows?

Good man Swamper. Major props to you.

People who joke about this or mock the dead are disgusting. They should all be suspended.

I would like to see these assholes reactions if it happened to their best friend, their girlfriend or wife, their parent, their child.

Apparently it was gang related...

Four people were shot dead at a Carl Cox concert on Saturday in Venezuela after a gunman starting shooting in the crowd.

There are reports on the web that nine people were also injured, and grisly footage of the aftermath was posted on YouTube by the VJ who was playing at the gig at La Rinconada Terrace in Caracas, Venezuela.

On a VJ Forum, VJ Rei from Venezuela described the attack and said he saw three dead bodies on the dancefloor:

Last night, 15 meters from me when Carl Cox started his show and 10 minutes into it someone started to shoot everyone. It sounded like firecrackers, it was so fast I didnt think it was a gun.

Everybody started to run like crazy.

I was in the main booth, doing my visuals and filming the show. I just grabbed the camera and started to film everything that was going on.

The film has now been removed from YouTube.

Carl Cox was headlining the event called Red Noise, and on Monday this statement was posted on his website Carlcox.com

I am deeply shocked and still stunned by the events of this Saturday [3rd November].

My condolences go out to victims that were caught up in this horrific act that took place at this gig.

I am informed that it was gang related and feel so sad that anybody would act in such a manner when the event was full of 7000 people having fun!

I will try my best to continue on the tour across South America however deeply shocked and shaken I am.

Yeah, and you're watching a video of the same event.

In the confusion they could've easily slipped into the crowd and gotten away, that's my guess at least.

Bad security measures for a event this big
how they let pass more than 1 gun in a party?

It is sad for the EDM movement here

This comment is wrong in so many ways it's even kinda funny...

But really, that's a tragedy... At first I thought it's another Carl Cox joke, but it's obviously far more serious than that.
