On the topic of names:
Prince John: Such an unusual name, "Latrine." How did your family come by it?
Latrine: We changed it in the 9th century.
Prince John: You mean you changed it TO "Latrine"?
Latrine: Yeah. Used to be "Shithouse."
Prince John: It's a good change. That's a good change!
Yeah, Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Classic flick. That part came to mind immediately.
Whatever you call it, I think the most amusing thing is how cleanly some people rode the bandwagon and now reject the sound in perfect form.

seriously, have any of you guys every been to a club? this shit sounds sick when played on a good system and to be honest its a lot easier to dance to than trance. i like trance much more but electro house lends itself better to dancing in a club envirnment. there are also some really awsome artists out there like justice and mstrkrft(mastercraft) that are starting to appeal to audiences that otherwise would never listen to EDM. a few weeks ago mstrkrft played at a huge music festival in atlanta called echo project. it was mainly a rock band venue but there were some electronic acts. my friend who doesnt even like EDM said that mstrkrft was by far the best show. i personally love the genre.

I still like Spektrum - Kinda New (Tiefschwarz Remix). And Alter Ego - Rocker. And Infusion - Better World (Wink Interpretation). Those tracks rocked. Haven't heard anything as good as it in a while, though.

dave spoon is garbage now...he had his time.
and justice is FAR FROM ELECTRO HOUSE...jesus h christ.
There are some great tunes out there you just have to look for em...
Pryda - Madderferrys...
Shena - Electrosexual - Aston Shuffle Remix
Mark Knight + D.Ramirez - Colombian Soul
Ida Engberg - disco volante (sebastien leger remix)
Bass Kleph - Coup detat (Hook n Sling Remix)
Groove Armada - Get Down (Henrik B Remix)
I do agree, and this comes from an electro house DJ...that 95% of the electro tunes out there, especially on beatport...are absolute 100%-pure garbage "electro-by-numbers" shit.
