Tommy please ignore Clovis. From what I can gather hes a piss-poor photographer (take a look at his amateurish pictures), his DJ career isnt going anywhere and he doesnt make much money. So he needs an internet forum such as this where he can sit behind his computer and vent his frustrations

All that aside...Guetta is horrible

Meh. I heard he was decent at Coachella.

I could care less what everyone thinks about my musical preference, but I think his productions aren't half bad. I liked his latest album when it came out over the summer. And well, the Dirty South Remix of Baby When The Light still has a sweet spot in my rotation.

Now as far as what he spins, I agree, sometimes he drops the weirdest shit, but other times he catches a good streak. I listen to his semi-regular show on Radio FG/Club FG (France) when I can, and he's not *that* bad. I guess maybe when he plays more so for a crowd in a club is where style gets weird.

I thought about going to Vanguard, but now I don't know...if he's seriously going to be playing Top 40 on a Saturday night, then I'll probably pass. But if I was bored on a Wednesday or something and had that option, eh I guess I'd take it.

Your attempts at being secretive about your TA alias is so pathetic and obvious.

From the tracks I've heard from him.. I like his music. Never seen him live, and I plan on attending and then hopping over to see Garnier since my girl friend from Michigan came all the way down for him!

Watch that video and notice that even those two chicks at the performance ask each other, "why is he playing this cheese!?", with which her friend replies, "I have no fucking clue but we're already here so let's party! WOO!!"

This all happens when there is :52 seconds left on the video.

DOES THAT GUY HAVE A KEYTAR?!!?!?!? FUCK YEAH!! That was the quintessential instrument of bad high school garage bands the 80's!!

If you're basing Guetta's "greatness" on a 9 minuet fluff video designed by someone in his camp I'm sure I could churn out something just as good about ANYONE else

keytars are bad ass. If you like metal check out some children of bodom vids using the keytar.

Also hey, its live. You dont see sasha or diggers playing anything live. Ableton doesnt count.

Anything live adds so much more to the song and vibe.

Yeah I agree, when Guetta turned the mid range knob up it really added more to the song and vibe.

I like how everyone always compares everything to Sasha & Diggers. As if those are the only DJs that !absolute cheese.

i compare it to them because to many they are the "gods" of house lol.

But yea its different styles of music, but any music that has a live touch gets extra points. If you can bring out the keytar or a keyboard and play it for one of your tracks, thats a whole nother level.

Guetta should be crazy fun! Seeing him in denver this thursday. Let you know how it goes.
