I'm gonna set your fucking hair on fire, then we'll see who's laughing, fuck-o!

What "red" is this hairdresser of yours using because I had the exact opposite problem and my red would not wash out. I had to dye it back to my natural color in order to get rid of it.

I'd say it's coming along pretty well. How's your trolling the COR going? Bad? Not so bad?

She mixes the actual color herself. It's umm...I can't remember what line, but I'll find out.

It's a demi permanent though. Meaning it's between a semi-permanent and a permanent dye. That's why it rinses out so easily.

Posted by Frenchie on Nov-16-2007 03:57:

Ya, thanks! I'd love to know. I love having red in but for something that was supposed to last 2-3 months and lasted 8, I no rike.

I finally tried something a friend told me about, to take away that awful greasy sheen of unwashed hair.

Before you say, "Uh, just wash it?", I should note that my hair dresser uses a "demi" color on my hair, meaning it's not permanent. Also, it's a very rich, vibrant red...and most people know that red fades like a bitch.

So to prevent my hair color from turning really dull really fast, I refrain from washing it...which of course leaves it greasy as fuck.

So now onto the simple solution of the ages:

TALCUM POWDER!!!

Yes that's right. Good old talcum powder. A friend of mine told me to do this a while ago, and swore by it...but I never got around to trying it until today.

And well, it works awesome!! All I did was just shake it all through my hair and then comb it through. It absorbed all the oil and none of the shine! You wouldn't even know I hadn't washed my hair in 2 days...it looks as fresh as the day I got it done!

And no, it doesn't smell. I actually used a really nice scented talc from Avon!

So uh, yeah. That's my beauty tip of the day for you ladies out there...or anyone else with greasy hair.

Bye!
what?

Ok here's some pics of my hair, lol.

Too bad the light/shitty camera phone doesn't do the color justice AT ALL. It's really awesomely richly red!

Looks cool Jenny.

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Nov-16-2007 04:08:

i think you should wash it more often, it looks too greasy. or may i suggest some talcum powder?

Thanks, I'll try that!

It's "the cut" of the season! I love it, not on me, but I love it.

Posted by UWM on Nov-16-2007 04:12:

Did somebody say black shaved head robot?

In any case that color / cut is win.

Yeah. I used to always have my hair cut like this. I love short hair...feels more like me, heh. I had been thinking about chopping it for a while. Seeing a picture of Jenny McCarthy's hair sealed the deal though.

Posted by BeatsAndBeyond on Nov-16-2007 04:17:

Black shaved head robots don't have problems with greasy hair.

Fact.

Really though, who are they to judge?

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Nov-16-2007 04:22:

so, will we be getting a thread dedicated to your next wax?

Posted by Inertia on Nov-16-2007 04:23:

but.. wait... erm.

if i put talcum in my hair, my hair will get like... white n stuff. or am i missing something? am i supposed to go to town on my head with a comb until the powder is out?

No, it doesn't go white. The talc absorbs the oil. Yes, you comb it through after you sprinkle it on.

See my pics? My hair isn't white!

Posted by Lilith on Nov-16-2007 04:27:

Whole talc thing sounds like a massive pain and a way to dry out your scalp, which isn't good.
