holy. fucking. hell. Hawtin tore shit up last night. Anyone know what time he stopped playing???

Posted by av1 on Dec-15-2007 23:19:

Thumbs up

Hawtin absolutely owned last night. If U like minimal or tech and missed it, you fucked up bad.

Got there @ 2 tired as hell. But just hearing those sick beats woke me up and I didn't stop moving until I left shortly b4 6 a.m. By no means am I a huge minimal fan, so I did not go expecting anything like this. Let me just tell you that Hawtin is no ordinary minimal DJ, he left all the downtempo boring shit @ home. He dropped minimal that was upbeat, dark and trippy, while mixing in hard nasty tech house, and also dropping the straight bangin TECCCCHNOOOOOOOOO that I do love. Mixing and programming from start to finish was perfect, flow and structure of the set was dead on with not one lull or bad track the whole night, and the way he was layering massive effects on top of the tracks was insane. A truly professional and top notch DJ performance.

Also Pawn Shop/promoters (whoever) did a great job with the sound. Whoever tweaked it knew what they were doing. The lights and videos were not bad either. And that club was more packed then I ever have seen it. Whoever said techno cannot make it or $ in MIA, hope you took notes last night. Bring Carl Cox next, please.

And it was definitely cool meeting/chillin with teckniqueZ, his girlfriend and crew.

I couldn't agree more. The sound in there was amazing! I am not a huge huge minimal fan either, but...this was out of hand! Coudln't ID much except for when he dropped his own tune, The Tunnel. and also Steve Lawler - Violet

Sound was provided by the best sound company in the world Dynacord

Posted by epdarks on Dec-16-2007 02:07:

They need to permanently upgrade the sound in the main room, it's unacceptable by Miami standards.

We at Futuremob stand for quality above anything else and you saw that last night.

Thank you all for the nice words.

We are thrilled you all loved the sound and videos as much as we did.

See you at our next event.

Well, well that was an excellent night of mind control that Mr.Hawtin dropped directly onto Pawnshop. He delivered one of the most banging, yet danceable sets that i've ever herd from him.He was very eclectic within the techno genre. He spun mostly minimal, but he did drop the occasional maximal bomb that would just destroy the Pawnshop patrons,as well as some good tech house tunes that he layered with the minimal (click).I love all minimal so im a bit biased towards the techno sound but to most people who don't like minimal its because its hard to dance to some minimal djs. That was not the case at all with Mr.Hawtin.His beats were mind altering as well as being infectiously danceable.

As AV1 said before, Ritchie is a true top notch dj who no matter what genre he spins will impress you with his ability.I love Hawtin so i came into this just thinking that he would be very good.I had no idea that it would be one of the best sets that i've ever seen.
I got there at 12:30 and left around 6 maybe a little earlier.

It was awesome meeting you too AV.I had a ton of fun talking to ya and partying it down.

Until next time!!!
