i love how you talk to me like i'm 14 or something and have never had my heart broken. i've been hurt, i know what it feels like. but there comes a time when you get into a relationship that you feel might potentially have a future, and for me that's what i think this is. that's kind of how people get married, have babies, and all that. this is that guy for me. and i really don't care if you all don't believe me or think i'm having some kind of deluded fantasy because that's how i feel and no internet forum posters are going to make me change my mind.

The situation called for it.

I've had that feeling before. It doesn't last.

This jaded cynicism from me is, no doubt, my way of addressing my younger self in some past relationships. Don't think it some particular attack on your integrity or me not believing your sincere belief that your love will last forever. I'm not even saying this to feel all sorts of high on that fact that I believe I will be proven right, with time. Just consider it some compensation for nobody ever really telling this to me when I was foolish and honest... not that I would have listened to them anyways.

My brother & his fiancee have seen each other for 2 weeks since last xmas andare doing just fine, but he's off again for 3 weeks this xmas, she's finishing her 7th year of uni and he's got to get work experience so he can get a good job in canada with a work permit. It's all down to how much you want the person in question.

While I admire the strength of the relationship, I have to question whether that is actually a relationship...

pro if this is what you act like every time your boyfriend gives you some advice that you might not believe in... well i don't need to say much more do i?

they've spent as much time together as is possible since meeting when he did his year abroad, and talk daily. She comes over whenever she can, he does likewise, and they've got their plans made for the future. It's a small sacrifice in the longterm plan for them both.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Dec-03-2007 00:39:

Plans are bullshit.

IIRC it was a reply to something Frenchie said...and even then it seemed like more of a rhetorical statement. But I'll take it if it was meant for me.

Love is in the air

Can't even make it past a couple days.

My girlfriend broke up with me 2 weeks ago and I found out just yesterday she's fucking your boyfriend.

Posted by d-miurge on Dec-03-2007 01:03:

Imo if there were troubles in your relationship it would have started before, but as nothing happened I assume he shares your loyalty. I have quite the same philosophy, there are girls, and there is the future mother of my children. Yeah my semen has to be useful with the right person.

If I were him I'd just be insulted that he confused me with josh4.

my gf lives in Pittsburgh and i live in Denver. i am in the air force so they moved me out here. i left in may of 06 and this x mass will be the sixth time i went home. we get frustrated with each other some times but i believe it is because of the distance. The plan is to move in with each other once she is done w/ collage.

It's funny that you started this thread. I just watched a movie for my English class about a couple who've been married for 50 years and the wife gets Alzheimer's. She has to go into a nursing home and their policy is that for the first 30 days the residents aren't allowed any visitors so that they can adjust properly.

Well the husband gets upset about it, because in their 50 years of marriage, they've never been apart for a month...and yeah it got me thinking about this, heh.

Was it "Away From Her" ?

Hahah yeah. I went to high school with the actress who played the young version of her. Stacey Laberge.
