haha. Well tiesto's problem is i think he started amazing. He made it to top 10 because of his tracks he produced like sparkles. Great songs at the right time. However now i think his production level dropped except for the track elements of life which i think is top notch production. Armin i beleive is number 1 for trance as producer and dj. His tracks havnt dissapointed me as there is still an emphasis on melody. His upcoming cd to be released around WMC should have even more focus on keys!
HAHA about the goggleman and tiesto comment though. However i think its Armin that is Gogglemans numero uno in this case.
I agree with how solid day 1 is. It isnt my taste but man does that pack a punch for so many people as the talent level is real high. Whereas day 2 is pretty much the same as it has been with a few changes.
I can honestly say day one has a decent-esque lineup so far. But then I get to thinking that 1. It's Ultra and 2. It's Bayfront.

If I were to go down to Miami during WMC it'd be strictly for WMC shows unless I can get into Ultra for free with a fluffer following me.
pretty much nothing Justice has done sounds anything like D.A.N.C.E.. That was their pop song. Waters of Nazareth, Phantom and their scads of remixes are why they are so amazing.
Ok will look those up. I heard more besides dance but only what was on youtube. Ill have a listen to those three.

Either bullshit marketing ploy meaning pvd normal set which is with his midi - or it could be like in central park with all the singers from the latest cd. He even has guitars and drummer at times. That is what live really means. But i dont expect much from ultra in pitching for live acts. Its more of a european thing to see live shows - not the us. Seems people here go for the dj and not the musical talent behind the song. I mean TE has keyboards appear and singers and violins, etc. Ultra... yea... not so much.
plus remember when Oakenfold was advertised live with an orchestra and that never panned out.
That would have been bad ass though. I heard good things about the oakie with orchestra show when they did do it.

I would have to say that Oakie during last years wmc seemed to be as good as old school oakie. Its dunny cause he even advertised his sets as classic trance and anthem oakie. I saw him at the shelbourne and he owned. But havnt seen him since then. He might have reverted back to new oakie - aka faster kill pussycat haha. He didnt play that song once during wmc thank god. So who knows, maybe he caught on to what the electronic crowd wants of him. Also he seemed somewhat sober and didnt mess up.
If PvD brings Ashley Tomberfuck to sing I will personally shit on her mic and record "1washedupdj,1shittyvocalist,1cup"
On a serious note, fuck PvD if he does some weak ass live performance.

so Radiohead to be announced in the next few days? They announced that they will be playing Miami and Tampa, but no dates or venues yet. Normally they wouldn't hit Tampa, unless their other Florida show was something like a dance music festival that some of their fans wouldn't be able to attend.
Where did u get that Radiohead rumor from?
not really a rumor, some people were just talking about it on some message board. Just speculating that they announced Miami/Tampa but no venue/dates yet (waiting for phase2 release?) and with everything I mentioned it does make sense.
n00b questions here:
- will Ultra sell out
- will the price go up? (ie, jump on tix now?)
Also, how much should I budget for Fri, Sat and Sun? I won't be doing too much high rolling VIP stuff, mainly ultra fest and some other gigs.
I'm not including hotel and airfare, that's gonna be taken care of by someone else.

no, I don't believe Ultra can sell out. The price will continue to increase though. When phase2 comes out the price will probably go up another $20.
At Ultra prices will be about $8 for a beer, $12 for a mixed drink. Probably $5 for water. $8 for a burger... think sports stadium prices for that stuff.
Outside of Ultra at clubs/bars the drinks will be $10 or more. You can eat for cheap or eat nicer, see the food thread sticked up top for some of the better places. The cheap alternative is Subway/pizza/small places like that.
