No, I will vote independent just so that the only argument idiot activists who say "you can't complain if you don't vote" are silenced and then proceed to continue to be fucked off by the fact that the U.S. government will likely never be anything more than bipartisan corporate puppetry in my lifetime.

Man, let me know how that works out.

My uncle something like that in 2000...he voted for Ralph Nader and he lives in Florida

They most likely won't actually be silenced, but at the very least they'll have nothing in particular to say to me - and in the end, that's all that really matters (me not being annoyed, that is).

And I really do believe that just about anyone the Republicans can run that has a legitimate chance at winning is probably less evil and/or dangerous than Hilary Clinton.

+2 for Paul.

He's the only person that sounds reasonable and knowledgeable about the things he talks about, and not like a bickering 15 year old high school slut failing at her first high school debate meet.

Democratic presidential candidate debate, or an 8th grade slumber party debate over who has the best hair? It's so hard to choose... both sides bicker with petty insults that have an almost masterful air to them.

Social Security, Inflation, Taxes, National Debt are all more important than the issues that the media loves to push.

Abortion. Fuck abortion. Let's give a fuck about the people that are already fucking here.

War on terror? Yeah fucking right. The war on terror is a fucking joke. "The airplane crashed into the Pentagon, look, there is the tiny engine! But the rest of the plane just disappeared into imaginary land!"

"Look bob, it's a giant fireball(woops I didn't read the teleprompter). Excuse me folks, it's an airplane. Yup, Osama Bin Laden is the devil!"

What about Kucinich? IIRC, he was excluded from several televised debates (recently) and got only something like 6 minutes total in another one.

The only Republican candidate that I would consider voting for would be Ron Paul. The others seem to end up being fear-mongering, possible police state, and/or theocracy- things that directly contradict (my vision of) America.

Yeah, I'm happy about it. Her empty rhetoric is digging her into a hole too...she doesnt stand for shit except "remeber the 90s?" now.

I just read an essay on foreign policy by Obama in Foreign Affairs, good stuff. Romney's a few pages later was atrocious. The guy wants to double guantanamo

Posted by RJT on Jan-07-2008 22:33:

Barak Obama is the only thing out there right now that remotely looks like something this country could use.

I'm deathly afraid not a single one of the other candidates is going to be able to lead this country through the recession it's about to experience - and I'm thanking my lucky stars that right now I'm not pursuing a career that is beholden to the whims American consumerism.

Still, hope for the best, prepare for the worst - it's the American way.

I will be voting Republican this election. The Democrats are already doing their part in the house and senate, and having a Republican president will make sure things remain in balance.

Work has been really shit lately. Car dealership I work at has had absolutely limited costumers lately. In fact, I didn't get called in for 2 weeks because no one came in to get their car fixed or checked into service. Same with my father, he does body work and I believe he had 3 weeks of no work, since he gets his jobs from my dealer. It really sucks, things seem to be getting worse by the minute and it seems we're bound to hit a recession soon enough. Hopefully things get a bit better.

Do they hold elections in Japan? If so, is it a higher time of fertility for the country?
