OMFG ISHKUR'S GUIDE

It's just music.
Stop trying to be Freud. He was kind of an idiot.
How is wanting to know your thoughts and reasons behind them harassing? If you can't handle a few simple questions to which you obviously know the answers to if you made statements as you did, then...

I got into Trance like many around 98-99 but I think my peak was around 02-05 when I was up on all the new stuff that was coming out. I also used to listen to ASOT and GDJB religiously so I was really into that style. Today, I've lost track of the trance scene a lot compared to years past. Progressive Trance is still my favorite genre to spin, but I've gotten into the various forms of "house" out there over the last 2 years or so because I can get more gigs down here under that style and it does better at house parties. But I actually thoroughly enjoy "house" in its own right anyway, but not the real cheesy commercial (XM-BPM) type crap.
Ill throw down a set while goofing off with friends but Im into breaks and house for the most part.
Yeah, but far as spinning trance...EEEEEkkk there are no good tunes for a good set. Unless I am spinning all the pre 2006 stuff.

idk how to classify what i listen to these days, i'm all over the place lately
maybe i'm just becoming enough of a music snob that i don't even like a single genre, just the particular artists
lately its been dntel and telefon tel aviv all day. plus some r kelly, robyn, and this song:

I'm still a pre-2003 Tiestard at heart.
I really havn't listend to anything new in a long ass time besides asot (it plays saturday nights here in toronto at 5am [on 100.7 FM]).
I really get angry when i hear asot so i just don't bother downloading anything. I don't know who's 'hip' these days either.
I think every genre of music has its 'peak' years, and then quickly gets taken over by "The man" and money is made.
happend with trance, happend with rock, happend to house, happend to rap, happend to metal, happens to everything.
I think drum and bass /jungle will be the next electroic exploit, and it will be a damn shame. i dont like dnb, but i know that it's in its peak for the next few years.
same with techno, actually i think techno's already on the downhill road to fail with the new minimal that's going to collide with electro to make electech, which will be balls awful.
