Everything is allowed at Wetbar? I'm starting to get a little nervous. haha.

The dj booth at Wetbar is enclosed right? I was hoping to shake his hand and get something signed if that was at all possible. Looking forward to this show more than I have any others in a while. I'm hoping for an epic night. See you all there!

You will be able to do that. Just stand by the door. Theres only one entrance/exit

Dude, thanks for all your help. I imagine I should get there a little early if I want a chance to get by that door. But that would make my night if I could meet Corsten. I'll have a good time either way though.

Posted by iammesol on Feb-07-2008 06:51:

Um, not really. Wetbar has plenty of space dude. You'll be fine.

LOL! I wonder if I'm the only one who caught that...

*ahem*

Although I would LOVE to be in the crowd tonight, I have various hold backs such as having to be at work God-awful early, and having a boyfriend who has suddenly and randomly turned homophobic.

... like of all the times we've been there, he's JUST realized it was a gay bar

Posted by Liquified on Feb-07-2008 23:32:

Its not Gay on Thursdays and Fridays plus Saturdays are more mixed now.

Posted by Caution_BiPolar on Feb-07-2008 23:38:

I know... but try telling him that, lol.

Posted by iammesol on Feb-07-2008 23:41:

When I met him at Kazell he seemed to drunk to care anyway

In fact, the way to get him to go is to just go by yourself. He'll pull <-- this face and beg to go to the next.

It sounds like some of you guys have made the good decision to go tonight after all. And for all you who are afraid because of work, you can make it through one day tired, it will be worth it to see Corsten. I've done it before. I'll see you all there!

Posted by Xevious on Feb-08-2008 02:54:

Sam, ferry and i had 5 free drinks sitting there with your name on it and you failed to show up.........in the words of donald....YOUR FIRED!!!!

Posted by PVDfan07 on Feb-08-2008 18:03:

What a night! I had a great time. Ferry's set was amazing. It was definately an energetic one.

Iammesol, I am happy to report that all your kind words about Wetbar were true. I really enjoyed the place. A lot of room, good sound, and it was cool being able to get right beside the dj booth. Yes, I did get to shake hands with Ferry and get an autograph. He was a stand up guy. My only complaint was that the crowd didn't seem to be all that different from Opera like you said. Maybe I just ran into the wrong people though.

As far as the set goes, I think it had plenty of energy mixed with a good bit of melody. What did you guys think? I heard a lot of great tunes. I'm still tired, so I'll have to try and think of more later, but the easy ones of course are Beautiful and Into the Dark (Ferry Fix) by Corsten himself and then Big Sky.
Anyone know what the last song was? Also, there was a vocal song with lyrics "Don't look behind you. Just do what I do," and I couldn't remember the name. I actually heard a lot I knew, but I'm bad with remembering names. Any help would be great. Looking forward to hearing what everyone else thought.

I showed up at 10pm sharp, but It was half my fault that I didn't get in. I brought a person with me who did not have a fake. They were IDing BEFORE vip list so he was screwed. Rather than go in and leave him in the cold, we just went somewhere else. I guess I should've just gone alone...

for the thought. I'll be there for Hybrid. My brother is coming as well.

Glad you enjoyed it dude.

About the crowd, it has had a surge of those people recently, though when I was there during a night such as that one, they stayed in the bar area and vip, not the huge dancefloor room.

Posted by FyRe on Feb-08-2008 20:23:

partial tracklist. I was pretty drunk so this may not be very accurate

Fragma - Toca Me (In Petto Remix)
The Blizzard - Kalopsia
John O'Callaghan - Big Sky (Agnelli & Nelson Remix [?])
Breakfast - The Sunlight
Maor Levi - Lital
Ferry - Into The Dark [ID Remix]
Ferry - Beautiful
BT - Force of Gravity

Well, I was on the stage by the booth a lot of the time. I had jerks knocking into me all night. It was like I was invisible. Of course I had the annoying drunk/ high couples dancing like idiots and bumping into me. The worst was this guy high as a kite with his eyes bugged out and everything. He walked up to me and started mumbling something and I was honestly a little afraid of what he might do. Everytime he stumbled towards me I had to move away. There's going to be jerks at every show though I guess. But yeah, I hate to be one to complain, because it was an awesome night.

Thanks for the tracklist FyRe. That's a good start. The Into the Dark remix is called Ferry Fix. I'm almost 100% certain.

To be honest, that doesn't sound like a wetbar crowd, that sounds like a trance crowd. I'm not knocking the music or your liking it, but trance typically draws the druggie/asshole type of people. Come to the upcoming Swerve nights with me. I'll show you the Wetbar I know.

I thought of that. Certain types of music seem to draw these types of people. I love trance, but maybe it does draw a bad crowd. But is the house crowd really that much different? I'm really trying to get into house, it's just what I love about trance is the melodies and the ups and downs and house just doesn't have that much. But yeah, let's go. I'll definately go check out Swerve nights. Oh, and by the way, what's your name? Unless you'd rather me just keep calling you iammesol. haha

Posted by iammesol on Feb-09-2008 04:58:

My name is Sam. And yes, I prefer you to call me by that. Iammesol is my internet business card. EYE am Sam.
