I have a scary story...

Probably two years ago I was there on a random Thursday, Place was dead, music was good. Me and a gf went just to get our dance on for a couple of hours and bounce.....

I had a bottle of water behind me and was keeping my eye on it...

At one point I turn around and there was an asian guy putting G in it and behind him was a bouncer watching (mind you never did see that twisted bouncer again)

I played survivor mode. and started walking to the bar, the bouncer followed.. without causing a commotion.. I asked for another water.

The bouncer then told them I could have it for free. I bounced and didn't return for a couple of months...

I must add... the place does feel ALOT less dangerous than in past times.

when i first started going there it was almost 5 years ago and it didn't seem "dangerous" or any more sketchy even then...but i went with my asian friends and we only chilled in the one corner so i didn't pay much attention back then

Girl, I feel the same, but I was a lot more naive back then. If I actually compare the place now to then... it has picked itself up.

Take the lighting for example, the place is still dark, but MUCH brighter.
The bouncers are definitely a lot better, although I miss the husky asian man with the long pony tail. He was legit.... and he made me feel safe. He didn't fuck around, he played by the books.

The comfort zone sign in the back is new and brightens the place up a bit too.

The coatcheck is a lot less sketch as well. I remember when the coatcheck girl's eyes were always poppin outta her head and she was on the verge of either freaking out or puking....

The new guy seems sober... all the time..

The first time I was ever at Comfort Zone was this past Halloween! Tanya found me at Andy's Pool hall and apparently my friends had ditched me so she took me there. I don't remember a god damn thing.

All I remember is being told that "Hey this person almost got you kicked out" I don't even remember who told me? Apparently I was shaking the DJ Booth and Fab was about to kick my ass lol. The bouncer was going to kick me out but he apparently let me stay? Knowing my condition if I was that bouncer I would have done the right thing and kicked me out hahaha...

Man I wish I could remember anything, I don't even remember how I got home :S

I still can't remember anything... F***!

My visit to the Zone was after the Guv's anniversary party in October. We have a very similar place in San Francisco called the End Up and I've heard the two are compared often.

I had a great time at CZ, the beats were sick, people sketch and the floor a little too dark, but all in all I can see this place being a fun afterhours spot with a group of friends when nobody wants the weekend to end.

I honestly WISH I could go back and see what cz was like at it's 'worst'. I want to know first hand how bad this place was that it makes experienced people say it's like disneyland now.
