I updated some shit on afterparties, but still gathering info at the moment

JPLoveParade, have you been able to obtain the opening and closing times of these parties? Opening times, capacity of the events, cost, and lineup are my biggest concerns, but it's tricky finding details.

Friday the 12th, Love from Above and Bikini Lovers seem the main choices. I guess what will decide it is their closing times, if there is a noticable difference.

I'm guessing Lovestern Galaktika afterparty must have a good lineup, given they're charging even more than Love Airport who have an awesome lineup.

Love PArade starts 12 Noon on July 13th, I may consider getting there fro Friday the 12th and LEaving SUnday Evening, or getting there Saturday and LEaving Monday Morning.

IT seems to late now to book any accomodation of some sort, so I won't be sleeping at all

I want to go to some afterparties, and will tag along with Alex if he doesn't mind, cos none of my mates want to go to Germany

Anyhow, if I go with some of the UKTa's from England, I'm sure we'll wanna meet up with some of the native TA's in Germany.

Who's gonna be there?!

DJ Mdma, I think the pre parties are as good as the after-parties. If you like Paul van Dyk, he'll be on for something like 8 hours on the Friday night. There'll be others though too, hopefully running as late as possible so there's less time to kill before Love Parade. The after-parties are certainly a must. Love airport has a cracking techno lineup.

This is going to be a marathon without sleep, 48 hours of clubbing non-stop. I've done 30-odd or so, but it's been with small rests and with a biiig sleep beforehand. Getting sleep when I need to get to London then Berlin won't be so easy.

It might make sense to book maybe one night in a hostel, and grab as much sleep as possible. Drizzt says the train station has a facility for leaving our stuff with them for a small fee. Hostels are about 7 quid, the most expensive only about 11 quid.


I am beginning to have worries about the cost of this. I am getting a few hundred quid on my 18th birthday (my gran left it in her will but apparently I can't get it until I'm 18), that is on the 21st of June. So I can afford this, but I need the money now to book the flight + a few nights in a hostel if possible. I am currently scrounging round my relatives, and I'm praying I can get it ordered next week.

DJ Mdma, do you know of any cheap airlines that fly from Stansted? All I know is Buzz and Ryanair, but Ryanair are booked out, and they don't go anywhere near Berlin. Buzz will cost about �80 quid return if you're prepared to go at some shitty early morning time.

If a hostel can be booked, then i'm willing to make it to a pre party as well, I don't really mind, cost isn't really an issue.

If a hostel can't be booked, then to rave from friday evening all the way until monday morning would be a big achievement, albeit it would require the use of hard narcotics!!

well i'm glad this thread has been going on while i've been away.....where would i be without you guys to help guide my love parade experience

anyway, i'm just one more of the many that will attend.....i'm german so that helps, a lot ......my aunts husband has a friend that lives in berlin (he's a uni professor of some bio medical physics type thingy, who knows, but he's a smart mofo...but he also drinks and smokes and is a cool mofo) so hopefully i'll stay with him, and he lives right in the city)

as of when i'm going and how long i really don't know yet...i don't want to stay too long at this guys house cuz i don't want to overstay my welcome...so maybe 3 nights, 4 days....arrive thursday or fri during the day and stay till mon or tuesday i guess......we'll see what develops later

but my only problem is i'm traveling solo now.....so i'll have to meet up with you kickass tas in berlin and have a crazy time

dj mdma, you should be able to understand most the shit I talk about, I havn't got a broad geordie accent, my mate even less so. I think anyone outside the UK might struggle though

For the pre-party, Love from Above looks alright, although I'm not a big PVD fan. Anyone got any idea which pre-party finishes latest? Love from Above is on until 9am isn't it? Any idea about the finishing time of these after-parties?

Go Airways fly to Munich, but that's the only place in Germany.

Cheapest flight to Munich is �38 and cheapest back is �27. That's flying from Stansted.


Anyone got any idea how far Munich is from Berlin, and how much the cheapest method of travel from there to Berlin would be?

Also, german people must have heard of the producer Pussy 2000? I'm a firrend of his daughters, sooo if i can get into contact with him, and he's doing any sort of after party ( he's a house producer), I'll try and blag some backstage privileges or something!

i dont know any about good travel methods, but Munich - Berlin is about 600 kms

you can go by train, if you can still get a ticket. it would be ~ 47 euros if i am not mistaken and you would have to leave munich after 7pm arrive in Berlin before 3 am

as for the after-party.. the chicks from Brooklyn Bounce are wikked hot -imho-, but i have always wanted to see Analog Pussy live! they rule

and with Rush and Marusha.. Love Airport would prolly be my choice.. though i will see rush on 7/27 or so...

-better sound
-better lights
-better decorations
-more space
-outdoor area next to the Funkturm (looking like the eiffeltower)
-more liveacts

Galaktika is so relaxed
Been there since 1997 (back then on a Island in Spandau, very underground... damn that was so cool!)

Galatika is more happy orientated, uplifting trance but also some great hardtrance in the other area's

The outdoor part makes Galaktika my choice!

Sounds great, but I have to say the lineup for Airport does tempt me. In the UK we have an awesome trance scene and a pretty crap techno scene, as far as I'm aware.

Are there any other major parties on the night of the 13th? Do you reckon there'll be anything going on after noon on the Sunday? I know we'll be exhausted but, you never know

Is that 47 euros each way, or return?

Hopefully we can go with Buzz Airlines straight to Berlin, but this is a contingency in case they sell out or have sold out.
