It's just karma catching up after you mowed down all those Iraqi children in the field last week with a M249

It'll get better dude.

Lets see... I'm under so much stress I can't sleep without sleeping pills (I guess gunfire and explosions do that), and when I do sleep all I get in nightmares; my girl left me on valentines day, I broke 4 fingers today (got caught on some webbing climbing out of my humvee), and now my medic says that the reason my back hurts so much is he thinks I have a "herniated disk." Fucking teriffic.

Sorry I just needed to vent... anyone have some words of encouragement for a lonely hurting soldier who just wanst to go home?
Quit the army?

Dunno

It's just Yuris' way.

Not saying I think it's cool either, but it isn't going to change - so meh, if it really bothers any of you it's probably better to just ignore it than fuel the fire.

Quite true; I'm pretty new to the boards still, and I def learned that lesson a couple pages ago, haha.

Seriously, as recently as a few decades ago - soldiers would be in combat for years, unable to see their family for years, little contact with outside world, no entertainment whatsoever. Just fighting, fighting, fighting.

You're sitting on the fucking internet in Iraq in air conditioning, eating a taco bell burrito probably courtesy of KBR and bitching online about some broken fingers and that your girlfriend left you.

Grow a pair already or GTFO.

See what I mean?

Seriously.

I'm not gona name names.. and everyone is entitled to their opinions, but no matter the reason for someone being at the front lines of a war, if you have negative or pessimistic comments to make, they ought to be kept to yourself. But thats just me.

Ok first off how the fuck would you know? Don't presume to tell me my living conditions. Thers no KBR here asshole I live in a bumker 20 feet underground on an iraqi army base. No ac. No heating. No hot water. No flush toilets. Electricity is sporadic. I'm using an internet card on my laptop.

Just becasue 99 percent of the people over here live on a nice fob and never leave the wire doesn't mean all do. Its not your fault, the media never shows the full story, although theve been here several times.

And yes I voluntarily enlisted. But hell, I still think its ok to vent.

And for the comment about the kids and the 249? Whoever taht was fuck you. I am proud to say we have done much to help the kids here, they're awesome.

And as for grow a pair? HOW DARE YOU! I don't see you over here dodging bullets. Well to each his own.

All that being said, I have NEVER been more proud of anything than since i got sent here. Fuck the rest.

i wish i could get kind of "odd" jobs like that. i'm sure they have it for the Army, but we have this "career pyramid" thing that everyone should follow based on your job title. and it all seems , well , almost kinda boring after awhile... i'd almost rather take different jobs here and there that don't fit the norm [deployment or elsewhere].

Posted by Yuris on Feb-18-2008 08:10:

You're still fucking a pussy sitting in a bunker and bitching about your life on the internet.

Go fight the fucking war you vagina. The soldiers before you were men.

You're nothing but a semblance of a woman.

That's pretty much what separates pussies like you from heroes.

Yeah i've done some cool stuff. Cuba I was a prison guard (Guantanamo bay). Pakistan I provided security for the earthquake relief efforts. Afghanistan I was a gunner on a blackhawk. Egypt worked with egyptian security forces.
