REVIEW

A first listen, I didn't believe it was DJ Sasha! I was given the mp3 copy for listen & review through soulseek, and the set through me off for the first three and a half minutes. Before I got to turn it off, though, it started resembling Sparky. Then when arthill began, I knew that it was legendary Shit, and that I could be no other than Sasha[with help]. Most of you'll give a representation of one of his mixing techniques/effects as like "Ping Pong". When I really have always heard it as "Wocka Waucka". You know, like Fozzy Bear! Then again, I have a disposition to hear simularities. Example: how marketplace sounds just like another track I can't remember the name of right now[?wavy gravy/burma rmx?].
The shortness of the mix is a timeless THING. No construction before has come to be as dynamic to me. The Transitions between tracks is Cool & the nature is almost flawless! I have to give my best Reviewing Props to the NEOLAS Score!!!
The timing of the emFire collection release is B-E-A-utiful!

So anyone have a sample of this Slam remix?

any good?

Posted by Techno_Twins on Mar-02-2008 07:40:

Hmm gotta check that out. I'll have to say though that Airdrawndagger is not going to be easy to top. That astoundingly emotional mix was satisfying on so many levels, it gets deep....way deep!

i pre oredered the dvd from this website, i checked it out and it's still avaialable.you can also watch a couple of trailors. i like the mix alot. it's a very down tempo, minimal mix. it's very similiar to air drawn dagger, but even air drawn dagger is more upbeat. i must say that this mix isn't for everyone. people take chill out music boring and they are always looking for stereotypical lots of noise mix. this is not that type of mix.it is very chill.i haven't listened to it too many times cause I don't want to watch the DVD everytime to hear it. so i'm not too familiar with what tracks are what.

edit: oops! i just realized you said "offline".

Hello,

On behalf of Sasha and his management team, I would like to thank you for your order of Sashas Coma Remixes white label and apologize for the delay in shipment.

The delay was caused by a manufacturing mishap in which the label was printed incorrectly. Threes Coma remix is actually entitled Threes Star Spangled Dub.

To rectify this mishap, the labels are being reprinted but have not been received yet. In an effort to keep you informed and get the product to you as soon as possible, we have decided to ship the units with the incorrect label. Your order will be shipped from Resonance on Tuesday, 18 March. Then, in a few weeks you should receive a sticker label that can be applied directly over the misprinted label.

The delay is in no way at the fault of Resonance or Sasha and we hope you continue to place orders for Sasha merchandise through the online store.

12" Sasha - Coma (Rmx) [White label ltd Collector edition due to Sticker]

Radio Slave remixes are FIRE

At the 3:30 mark, its some remix of Park It In The Shade.....probably one off this collection mix. Most likely Audion Deep Steeple Mix.

Tracks continues here:

It's Guy J's remix of Mongoose

It wasn't meant for you then

despite the fact that you were quoted.

Posted by Ek0nomik on Apr-07-2008 18:05:

So... really, why the 'Collection' if it's his outlet for his own tunes. It's not like he's done producing...

Posted by nsamadi on Apr-08-2008 09:19:

You can buy the release through iTunes right now. 15.99 for both CD's. I only really want the one Radio Slave remix of Who Killed Sparky?, but it looks to be a "only album purchase". I don't want to buy the whole thing just for that one track.

Just judging on the 30 second samples from iTunes, a few of the mixes sound great but there's also some weak ones. My favs are the Radio Slave mixes, especially the Brooklyn Dub. It has this dark grimy sound going on. Also, the field floating mix of Mongoose ain't bad, but it's only 4 minutes long, so I guess it more of a listening piece than anything.

I feel so-so with the release.

Posted by RJT on Apr-08-2008 15:29:

The only ones I have not heard yet are Radioslave and Guy J's mixes - which are the only ones I want to hear at this point, the rest are fucking awful.

Terrible, awful.

30 second samples of a few @ itunes...Panorama Garage mix of Who Killed Sparky is the best tune on the release. I like Audion's mixes of Park It In The Shade too, but of course the only two tracks I want to buy are album only. Also, fuck itunes.

Posted by RJT on Apr-08-2008 18:57:

The Audion mixes were only interesting the first time - then I realized how pointless and bland they are.

Posted by nsamadi on Apr-08-2008 20:14:

The Slam & Audion Mixes on the collection sadly don't do anything for me.....

I think I like the Brooklyn Dub a lot more...I just find that there's this "Tantakatan" sampling through out the Panorama Mix. Doesn't sound so original, but it still is good...just prefer the other RS mix, even though it sounds like you can't mix it in a set.

Posted by Stasis on Apr-08-2008 22:04:

Slam Paragraph mix of "Coma" is OK...

Posted by marckoza on Apr-09-2008 05:17:

Park It In The Shade Audion Deep Steeple and Coma Slam Paragraph Mix are interesting. Nothing beats Guy J remix of Mongoose IMO, but i'm afraid this track will share the fate of unreleased Dubfire remix of Space bird & 2008 remix of Gridlock
