I was really sick but still went! Gui live is not something I can miss! The food was good and everything was very well organised! Got to eat at a big table with all my friends. Gui dropped his new stuff on Anunciacin ep. Ended the night with beautiul life and encore with like you. I was 2 sick to dance so i parked my car near the dancefloor and just enjoyed the music. Did anyone see the guy dancing barefoot !? hiyooooo pillspillspills

Posted by dnikov on Apr-07-2008 04:03:

hahah the guy dancing barefoot was the bomb !! ) hahah i think I even got him on 1 of my videos .. u can see them all on http://www.youtube.com/user/dnikov . Otherwise Gui Boratto @ Sugar Shack was way better than Gui Boratto @ Randomland Toronto which was 2 days before. As u can see on my page i had the chance to go to both events and i have videos from both and i can tell u that the crowd and the whole atmosphere at Cabane a Sucre Electronik was better than Toronto .. and also the dj's Alix and Vincent which were playing before and after Boratto were better than the ones @ Randomland... anyways it was still nice and awesome experience to see boratto 2 times for 3 days.

good times good times
beautiful day, what a beautiful life!

food was good. overdosed on tir, oh man too good!! The 100s of white birds flying overhead earlier on was pretty cool. The plane swooping by later on was cool too. Dancefloor a bit muddy, but hey what can you expect a cabane a sucre.

Missed most of Alix, as beer and food was being consumed in quantities. boratto was sick, great flow to his set. he looks so intense and concentrated and I don't think he looked up once. Vincent Lemieux was pretty good after, much house-ier...but by that time it was getting cold and most people had left. Too bad!

solide!! when's the first official piknic?!!?!

Posted by ostrich on Apr-07-2008 04:14:

The only one I know of is on
May 25th... with noneother than
Mr. Alex Under

Posted by julien2 on Apr-07-2008 16:42:

First Piknic is May 18th

If i'm not mistaken, the whole season will be announced on May 6th !

Posted by Passskal on Apr-07-2008 17:40:

What a great day! Piknic is blessed.

Winter was long and you can tell people can't wait to party. Everybody was happy and smiling, enjoying great music and the first warm days of Spring.

Incredible turnout, they had to stop selling tickets because the shack could not accomodate that many people inside. (even though a LOT of people just didn't eat). They also had to leave Vincent Lemieux outside to play his set and many people left because it was too cold.

Alix was perfect to start off the event. Boratto killed it! Not the best interaction with the crowd, he was really busy working the controllers (I believe he uses a Monome and Lemur)! Awesome performance! Vincent played a completely different set than at Nuit Electronik, very housy this time. I didn't cath his entire set though I was inside warming up and eating. Food was ok and my stomach is stilled pissed this morning lol.

Special mention to our buddy Lambert who came with his Cessna plane (he had skis on!!) landed on a field next to the shack and eventually left and gave a few friends a free plane ride to MTL. lol that was a pimp stunt!
