Guys, thank you so much for your kind words. I don't know what to say. I'm really happy that you guys are enjoying this mix as much as I enjoyed making it.

Sushi, I'm glad you like 'Girl Nobody - Careful What You Say'. It took me a long time to hunt that track down, but finally found a site that sold it (releaserecords.com).

Woscar. Discolion, it's out of control bro.

Thanks again for listening guys. It truely is appreciated.

is it me or would the Voorn remix of Dangly Panther have been more appropriate?

That's a fantastic question, and one I've actually contemplated myself. In retrospect, yes, I think so.

I've relistened to this mix quite a few times to critique myself and hear what I did and didn't like about transitions, track placement, etc.

One other thing I wish I had done differently in this mix, is my track placement of 'Love The Beat' after 'Lovebox'. I wish I had atleast one more track in between those 2. Because the transistion sounds forced and the tracks really don't work that well together.

That's okay though, I'm glad I'm walking away from this mix with lessons learned.

I've only been DJ'ing for a little more than a year now, and I know I've got A LOT to learn. The growing experience is half the fun.

Mix was a lot of fun. It'll definitely be on my "walking to class" rotation.

Wow, Thank you! It means a lot to me to hear you say that (let's me know atleast I'm doing something right, lol).

Yeah, I started December '06/ January '07. Not really sure, but started with Vinyl. I then moved to Serato Scratch Live in about May of '07 for the fact that Vinyl is ungodly expensive and also very difficult to aquire tracks and stay current. Since then, just been plugging away almost daily for a couple hours to fine tune mixing. Listening to a ton of sets from the likes of Desyn, Rowan, Add2Basket, Danny Howells, James Zabiela, ect. Has really helped me figure out the style of music that appealed to me most as well.

I listen to so many other great mixes that are in the DJ Promotion forum and that really helps towards inspiration on where I want to get to in terms of my technical abilities behind the decks.

Thanks for listening again, Woscar. So glad you enjoyed it.

all i have to say is wow, this mix is way better than your last one. just listened to it on my ipod while taking a flight to new jersey for the weekend and i liked it a lot from start to finish. the mixing sounded tight and so did the eqing, not sure completely though since it is noisy in the airplane. ill give it a listen in my car when i get back to LA. great set though, i liked the vibe throughout and good set programming for the most part. good work

Posted by cmay119 on Mar-14-2008 00:44:

Hadi, thanks so much for the kind words and feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed it over the last one. I definately tried to work on EQ'ing on this one, since I thought that was a short-coming of the previous mix. I'm glad to know that atleast I'm heading in the right direction with it.

Thanks again for listening, Hadi.

I missed your last couple of mixes posted, but the progression from the M. Night alias to this mix is something to hear. Very well done. Definitely enjoyed the opener as well.

Thank you Lebezniatnikov. I appreciate the comments and glad you liked the mix.

Wow Chris, so cool to read all of these positive reviews.

If you've come this far in a year you can certainly be playing in clubs in another year.

Can't wait for that day.

This set is still in rotation along w/ Howells, Warren, Desyn, Jody, Paolo, and more. You could swap any of their names on the title and no one would notice.

Mixing is so tight... really phenomenal. Again you have a brilliant ear. I'm interested to see you start to incorporate more genres into your mixes.

CHEERS BRO, see you in MIAMI!

Posted by cmay119 on Mar-19-2008 00:34:

Dan, thank you for the kind words again, bro. I can't wait for WMC, I'll seeya down there soon.

I'm glad that you're still enjoying this mix. And thanks again to everybody that has given this mix the time-of-day.
