This mix still sucks wang even though I've been bumping it to work and back daily. Cocksucker.

Fantastic stuff.

thank you cheers for listening

You always find some nice, fresh tracks, and the mixing is very nice too. Great coherent flow also, this is quite good, congrats! ;-)

Now, for the constructive part. I certainly "understand" your set, but I don't always "feel" what you are trying to say. You find snappy funny titles, you know how to choose tracks, you obvioulsy know how to mix, but I still think you are playing with your head. In order to appreciate the "colder" tracks, a few warm ones wouldn't hurt.

Posted by elFreak on Apr-24-2008 04:54:

thanks for the review man. I can barely understand myself when i speak, never mind when i mix. I can understand what you mean, as i approach things more from heres 5 tracks i want to play the next we will see when it happens. I don't try and say much, just play stuff i feel like at any given moment. sometimes it works, other times not...but to me thats the fun way of doing things. Everytime i plan too much i end up falling asleep.

Cheers

You shouldn't plan too much, I agree with that. I never plan a tracklist, not even when I do a online set. I do it as I go along....

I think my point is, in order for people to "love" what you do, you have to find a way to get out of your head, and find the emotion. Not the emotion of a track, rather than the emotion you want to communicate.

by now you should know that i am emotionally crippled but i guess i can try if i start taking pills again

i really appreciate the insight coming from someone with as much experience as you, thank you.

then emotion i guess i was going for with this is robot stuck in the blender.

Somewhere around the 20 minute mark is when I really started to get into this, the way the melody distorts is mindblowing, just the type of shhh I'm always looking for.

Track after that convinced me that I was in for a hell of ride.

Few tracks in there were maybe a bit too plingy for my taste, perfect example is the track at an hour and seven minutes.

But talk about consistency! It felt like the style changed every two minutes or so and still it flowed perfectly, as if every track was made for eachother.

Thanks for this, really hit the spot last night, and this morning

edit why did you post a pic of adam sandler, haha.

toll booth willy appreciates your words

Track ID's at 20, 33.30 and 72 minutes please?

The track at twenty is a BOMB.

Sounds like that track at 33.30 is sampled from Silent Hill 2

Those vocals at 85 minutes sound just like I did last night

Posted by elFreak on Oct-25-2008 20:48:

@ 20 Stephan Hinz- Diescinerium [Great Stuff]

@ 33ish Jorge Savoretti & Seuil - Fatissimo [Igloo Rec]
Someone Else - Lip It Acapella [Archipel]

The Silent Hill sounding sample is from the archipel...it is a dj tool, so Fatissimo won't really sound like that if you buy it. The archipel tools are free so you could do an edit

@ 72 Dominik Eulberg - Lowenzahn Luftwaffe [Cocoon]

i was originally going to make a cue, but there is so much 3 deck stuff that i gave up

I hear that, I tried to count the tracks and said fuck it in like 10 minutes

Posted by elFreak on Oct-25-2008 20:56:

i went heavy on the archipel tools, can't argue with free

Posted by schlauf on Oct-28-2008 00:02:

Whoa ... terrific sh!t, just what I've been looking for great track selection mate. And the thread definitely was worth spotting, too
