ARIA's the place to be this summer. Truely, we couldn't ask for more from Biggy. The man delivers.

June will be particularly debilitating.

I've never attended a Paul Oakenfold event, but have listened to numerous of his live sets, and can say that the '99-'00 stuff was my fave. In fact, some of my fave sets are from him, so not being at ARIA on this night is really no option.

Man I am listening to his most recent dance department set. I must say i am shocked. Its pure quality. If he spins quality tunes like that I know it will be worth it. Accept for his gatecrasher set, I didnt even like him in '99. But this stuff is quality. I just hope he doesnt pull this in june:

don't you think this is what most people saying "he's not the old oakenfold" want? commercial stuff, cause he's playing stuff right now progressive with breaks, not many people on this forum are into that, but i want to try it specially from him!

For lack of a better description it's a mix of Trance and break beats with a Balearic twist. Very good.

While Tiesto is great, he still has a LONG way to go before he surpasses Oakenfold's accomplishments...Oakie's been at it since '79

I agree with you. His most recent sets are great. I love the new dance department set. A surprising amount of trance. Actually I really was not impressed with his '99 stuff. It just seemed to be all over the place. Like I said before.. accept for a select few sets he really wasnt a pure trance dj. And it was very comercial. His latest sets are full of cutting edge quality trancy tunes. And its the deep dark good trance too, not that cheesy uplifting bs. I think whats really wrong about him today he is so ficle. Sometimes he will come ready to perform and brings his A game. Other times he is awful, he comes drunk he gets lazy and makes countless mistakes. He has become so fucking pompous. Im really not expecting much from him so hopefully when he does come ill come away surprised.

I don't know why but Aria is more intimate than Molson Centre and I am sure we will all be surprised with his set.
He will not play bad as if it was in a big venue and also at Aria people will be in the back of the dj booth so he will not be lazy trust me!

wouldn't surprise me Biggy i've read in an interview that he prefers the smaller more intimate venues as he is better able to connect to the crowd
