Someone I've no doubt 'upset' at some point and who is still very bitter about it.

Hey, Mikey, this is really reeeeeeeeeally well done. I'm not at all surprised.
Thanks, that actually genuinely put a smile on my face
Nice mix Mike... nice to hear Face to Face in there, one of my favourites.
Thank you very much mr Mike, although i share the opinion that PVD includes too much shit in his music nowadays, i also laugh everytime i hear the eternal bashers saying that PVD was always 100% crap, so again thanks.
Nice one. And no problem.

As such, a couple of mixes are pretty rough (notably the first one). I also did a re-edit of Flaming June and I'm still not sure how successful it was. Anyway, enjoy. |
Tasty mix, the first four tunes dominated! Hadn't heard The Greatness of Britain before but it went down well too. Considering all the big tunes that didn't make it in, it makes you realise that pvd's made a heap of good tracks over the years - just perhaps not as many recently.
A few questions for you Mike, answer at your convenience.
What do you think of the general direction that pvd has taken in the last several years? In particular what would you like to see him do differently?
What do you see as his golden years and will he ever get back to former greatness?
In general, like many others I've shifted away from trance to more techno and house territory, this is probably due to the fact that my tastes have changed but also maybe because of a slight decline in the trance scene overall. However I'm always curious to check out pvd when he comes to Australia just to see what he'll play. I also think that trance events are still fun if you take a bit more of a light-hearted approach and get past the big breakdowns and odd cheesy vocal here and there.
cheers
