You dont know the lifestyle of many other older people outside a club. You dont know if i party every weekend or not. I can tell you that i know a lot of successful businessmen and even a doctor who hits the town hardcore almost every weekend. And in Europe its the norm, not the exception!

Either way, im not going to let someone talk down to people and lecture them on how to live their life based soley on their age and his opinion. I happen to be 32 and im sick of the canadian mentality that everyone is too old for everything by the time they hit 25... well these days i even hear 21 year olds saying it. Its sad.

So again i say, do what you want at any age as long as you dont hurt anyone and as long as you are happy doing it.

Fair enough... I guess the response looked short and didnt address the things you mention above. I know of IT professionals, Lawyers, Finance individuals in this scene too.. I'm 29 and I class myself as 'older' mainly because of my maturity, not my age. I know all about Europe too, I'm British! Clubbers are older..

I totally understand about the age comments. I get them too... I even hang out with a few youngsters who think old skool is the year 2000 and put up with dumb ass comments about me being older / getting tired when I am physically fitter than all of them. I guess I mis-interpreted what you said.

I still feel that in this lifestyle, if you're not careful you can become almost disassociated with what is morally acceptable to yourself and to society, whether we drink, go sober or dabble in you know what. People make assumptions about clubbers, sometimes incorrectly. I know that busting up the dancefloor EVERY weekend would affect me and most others.. theoretically, I agree with

But I know it's never that simple..

I guess the answer is to just keep an eye on yourself and your friends and check in once in a while. I know I'll probably still be hitting the dancefloor in 10 years...but I'll be sensible.

Key word in this thread: SENSIBLE.

I for one party but nowhere near what I used to, even then it wasn't completely crazy every weekend partying.

Sensible is good at any age. But there is no age limit to doing what you feel right about. And people particularly in Canada tend to like to tell others to "Grow up" which means even if you are a working taxpayer, you should just shut up, move to the suburbs and watch survivor while eating oat bran just like everyone else.

In fact, laws in this country are made to reflect this attitude which i find even more apolling!
