What the hell is AIDS-lite? HIV, HPV or herpes?
There's always getting hit by a bus or cirrhosis from all the drinking.

Ok so normal chest Xray thats good... so as stated, taht will rule out TB and pneumonia.
Unprotected sex on last weekend? Its possible, but many STDs take a while to symptomise, but still get a ull workup just in case.
Cut back on smoking and drinking for a while, at least till you're all better. All those added chemicals will just fuck your bodys metbolism and immunse system and from the sound of it, your body needs all the help it can get.
Sore throat that you attribute to coughing.. does it hurt to swallow? Does it feel like razorblades in your throat?
At least your cough is productive. As nasty as coughing up all that poo is, you are clearing it out of your lungs, which is a good thing. Now the chest X-ray ruled out TB and pneumonia, but taht doesn't mean you don't have bronchitis which can ecome pneumonia if you don't take it teh fuck easy lol.
No fever? Wow thats weird... yeah its not ebola hahaha! You'd probably be dead now from that unless you were in the percentage that does not die. I kid, ebola couldn't survive in canada.
Ok red puffy eyes but not too bad... you've had "pink eye" right? Thast what I'm getting at, is it liek "AHHH MY EYES ARE ON FIRE" or is it like "Son of a bitch this eye poo is annoying!!!" Otherwise I'm inclined to agree with Bucke's conclusion - a reaction to the infection... but no swollen lympth nodes? Very werid...
No muscle spasms, how about muscle aches or pains?
Its startign to sound like either the flu, or is bronchitis or a combination of the two. Its not Avian flu (bird flu), you would be dead by now. Take comfort in that alright
Alrigth take care man!
And bucke - nursing student eh? I'm getting my LPN when I get home than I'm off to the army's PA program, best of luck to you!

Wrong.
Definitely Ebola. Common symptoms.

We're both wrong its Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever. 2 days left to live.
No seriously tho, the virus is very weak and can only survive in specific environemnts, which is why ebola breaks out in Africa, and Bolivian and Argentenian hemmoragic fever breask out in south america.

Well, then:

I agree with your doctor.
It sounds like the flu to me. You have all the classic symptoms except for the lack of fever, although this isn't unheard of. The fact that it's been 10 days and progressively getting worse could be due to the fact that your body temperature hasn't risen and therefore your immune system is lagging. The flu is viral so you just need to wait it out....I'm sure you'll start feeling better within the next week.

Its just flu dipshit.
You dont recover from flu in a week. If you've said you have.. thats a common cold.

I love how you are asking the cor to diagnose you rather than trusting the opinion of a trained medical professional
That said, sounds like aids to me

thanks man! is LPN the same as LVN?
Posted by silene on Mar-24-2008 17:34:
The real doctor didn't really tell me anything about possible preventative actions, so in this situation 100 CORDoctors definitely win. Plus, cast your nets wide enough, and you get 4 pages of aids and penile necrotits and 2 pages of actual attempts at a diagnosis.
Oh, and now the cough is starting to hurt, pretty bad. The rapid-fire frequency increased as well; like, cough 14 times in a row

Hmmm not sure, LPN is licensed practical nurse, LVN is licensed vocational nurse, but never heard of LVN. Keep in mind I am using a military education system so the terminology may not be the same as a civillian college. I did get my EMT-P thru college tho, but LPNand combat medic thr army as well as PA, partnering with the University of Maryland. Soetimes the army is just silly.

your runny nose might be causing the coughing as its dripping down the back of your throat. take 2 advil sinus and use nasal spray (one that lasts 12 hours) 30 minutes before you go to sleep, and again in the morning.
its likely that stress might have brought this type of illness. i had that lots of times at this time of the year (exams, etc...), once i had it for 3 weeks straight.

It's what everyone who comes to the COR gets when they make posts whining about how sick they are and don't know what's wrong.
