When i worked in selling home theatre stuff I refused to sell something based on anything other than a combination of what was the best product for their budget and what were their needs. I don't think it's too much to ask that you'd get the same service with Dj gear.

Did you mention that you "did work as a salesman". Exactly my point -with your high ethics you automatically make a bad salesman, hence no salesman at all coz salesmen are just camouflaged conmen without emotions and sentiment when it comes to your hard-earned dollars, logically!
