There's enough dialogue in this thread to keep it interesting. We don't need people like you posting degrading and condescending comments about our careers that we've chosen. I don't think anyone in this thread posted any "b.s. about them being better than others because they have a title or go to uni". This thread was created to find out who shares common interests in Architecture with fellow TOTA's; not for people like you to call us "CAD monkeys" and tell us that we think we're better than others.
In my previous post on this thread, i said that I respect all building trades... so take that into consideration before you knock my career choice and tell me that I think I'm better than you.

just try photoshop for once

has anyone ever heard or used the term CAD jerk instead of cad monkey?

this bitch came in last wed. to talk about how great the specification career is and kept using that term. we all figured she was just bitter about her first job doing CAD at a firm.

gl. the new program there has it's ups and downs. u have more studio time but you lose one year of specialization. i personally like the old program better but you guys will be ready to go on to masters without any problems because of the amount of liberals you'll have to take during your undergrad years.

if you got any questions, feel free to ask.

Nice to know there are quite a few arch enthusiasts in here. 3rd yr Waterloo arch myself.. been a CAD monkey the past two work terms. I think we all have to go through this stage.. can't start running before learning how to walk right?

Any of you attending S&D this Friday? I'm there with 5 classmates. We should meet up.

Geoff! I think I've seen you in school. how's work in NYC?
