Okay im gonna have another go.. Uh, When I was younger, i was like yeah trance yeah rar wicked everything else is poo. A few years into clubbing i could now get into pretty much most styles of electronic music. Infact I really enjoy, prog house, trance, funky house, *.house, dnb etc etc,

So yeah its something that comes with time, your younger you only er the only example i can think of is: when your young you only like chedder but as you get older you like other cheeses but you still have those that like them all from the start. (thats not supposed to be a joke)

Could someone reply if that makes any sense.

the older u get...your musical taste changes as well. i love all kinds of music. i dig progressive alot. i think its brilliant and how it touches my soul. i listen to trance for the energy. but for progressive for the emotions!

I'm not a huge fan of Diggy Sasha or Tenaglia, but they do have a lot of fans. I won't be surprised to see them ranked in the top 100 list. I think these rankings have more to do with popular music than anything else. The average clubber is more likely to listen to slower BPM progressive trance rather than Uplifting/hardbanging/faster BPM music. Check out the DJ ratings and you'll see how popularity can affect a a thing like voting for you favorite DJ - DJ Icey ranked #10????????? ATB ranked #19 while Cosmic gate is ranked #40??? One of my favorites Scott Project only ranked #58??? How can Dumonde be ranked #185 and DJ Wag be ranked #188???? You have to realize that Uplifting Trance clubs aren't really mainstream yet.

em about the underground mainstream stuff, id like to hear one progressive house tune played on the radio compared to the 10 repeaats of trance tracks i hear every day on radio 1. So those top dj's ie: Tenaglia, Diggers, Sasha are amazing becasue they simply are better then Dumonde aight. Trance right now is more mainstream than any Dance Genre m8.

Overseas Trance maybe mainstream, but not here in the USA. Most of the people I know don't even know what Trance music is - commercial music is mainstream here, while Trance music is still mostly underground but coming out.

Arrow DJing skill

Th only reason why progressive Djs have better beatmatching skills is becauseit's muuuuch muuuuuuuuch and muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch easier to beatmatch it, as it's slower than trance... The slower the easier it is to beatmatch and the longer the beats wont drift appart

I hadn't even considered that...good point. I do listen to progressive trance but I prefer the higher octane trance beat. (such as: Paul Nord - Hedgehog, Balla Nation, Rammstein - Ich Will, etc.)

sorry, didnt have time to read through all 4 pages, im just responding to the initial post, but Sasha & Digweed = Progressive House, so if you were expecting trance maybe thats why u were disapointed

btw, i must say, their delta heavy tour was amazing, and as a fan of Progressive house, i could say that it was defenetly briliant

i can't believe anyone in the electronic music scene would say that.. this is a typical comment some hard-rocker would say, never expected it out of a trancer.

trance (which i love) is probably more "druggie" than progressive, since rushin on an E is not as nice to progressive.

i think progressive is an aquired taste, as it's very deep and subtle and sexy, so if you're 16 you may not be ready for it yet. i used to hate it years ago, but being older now, i trully apreciate it for what it is. and as far as your comment about wanting the "old sasha", well, it's never going to happen because he's progressed (no pun..), and you should open your mind and get with the show...
Nicely stated I'd have to agree
