if anaheim and san jose are out in the first i'll be blown away BUT i'm an avs fan and since i KNOW detroit will win and am pretty confident about my boys in colorado i NEED calgary to win so they can play detroit in the second round. i don't want to face detroit in the second...

Man the sharks blew last night. Everytime Id leave the room Id come back to see the flames with another point.

Usually can't stand the Flames; guess it comes with being a Vancouverite.

However, I'm pullin' for 'em against San Jose, just because the comedy factor in seeing the Sharks choke again is too good to resist.

w00t w00t!

what a turnaround last night, sharks take an early 3 goal lead, kipper gets the hook and cujo does an amazing job of cleanup, not allowing a single goal while the flames offence goes on overdrive after a wicked cruncher from sarich that fired up the saddledome and got the crowd back in the game

the saddledome has been touted as one of the toughest arenas to play in, especially during the playoffs

it's actually kind of eerie to see that sea of red, literally almost every seat in the building is filled with red, and the saddledome heroin beer does wonders for the atmosphere, many a flames game i've fallen victim to the heroin beer, nasty stuff but oh so good

I have a 1995-96 Flames jersey signed by the whole team. I'll throw in an 8x10 signed Fleury photo to trade for a near-equivalent habs jersey if you know anyone who is willing to trade.

(game-worn expos hat and leafs hockey puck not included)

he's there as veteran presence to help the players like Semin, Ovechkin, Cooke and Backstrom through, just the experience of being there before should help.

Good point.

And good luck with the Flyers, if it wasnt for Timonen we'd be on the same side.

lol that's ok. I doubt either of my picks will get close to winning (calgary in the west, washington in the east) but it should be some good action.

What in the world happened to Kipper!? Was it 4 shots, 3 goals? I read he threw quite the tantrum on the bench?

I didn't see the game, but 3 goals in 5 shots i think it was, is unacceptable at any level & in the playoffs it's probably borne a lot of frustration from him. He struggled at the start of the season too, but seemed to pick it up after a while. However with the form of Iginla, Phaneuf and even Huselius amongst others, they have as much chance of beating the sharks as anyone in that conference do.

what happened was he got a bad goal scored on him and it got inside his head, he kept looking towards the bench to see if he was getting pulled, his head wasn't in the game anymore, it was on keenan and the bench which resulted in the early 3 goal lead for the sharks and kipper riding the pine

he's an amazing goaltender but he knows keenan won't hesitate to pull him if he's having a bad game

one thing i've noticed though, if kipper has a bad game, he always comes back with a great performance his next start to make up for it

Posted by chimera66 on Apr-16-2008 01:31:

...washington not looking good right now . i'm pretty sure they aren't going to score 2 goals in the next couple minutes so hope they do well the next game.

my real concern is colorado, wtf happened. i KNEW there was something wrong how the hell do you get back to back power play opportunities TWICE and not score??? that's just unacceptable...seriously. i'm really worried about how forsberg will play tonight because of back-to-back games. he might not be of use...
