The 2003 Energy set is the best I have heard off him.

His set at global last year was also decent.

Anyone point me in the direction of the tracklist for the Rosenmontags set. I tried the search...

Thanks.

Just clicked on the linky and it all works. If not, try searching for something like Paul Van Dyk and WMC on the site.

Try this:

This set is VERY good, trancey tunes like I remember listening to in 01 through 06 from PvD. From all of those that listened to him back then, what's wrong with this set??

Right-click - Download Paul van Dyk @ Rosenmontagsrave 2002 (167MB)

...his wmc 2008 set is "ok" but not up to par with what I expect from him

Posted by joshualee on May-05-2008 03:33:

I was a PvD whore for many years, tracking around eastcoast to see him live. I haven't been to his show since Central Park 2006, which was a major disapoinment, just like 2 before it. The last time I heard PvD "killing it" was in Roxy back in 2003. Since he switched to Ableton I switched to other music.

This set from Space took me baaaaaaack to when PvD was my one and only God. WHY CAN'T THIS BASTARD PLAY SUCH AWESOMENESS IN NYC???? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!

Check it out for yourself, if you haven't already from WMC thread

This link isn't working for me. Am I missing something?

Btw, the set sounds average thus far...nothing spectacular. His clubnight sets are leagues above this.

I have to agree. I find this really sad too. Paul van Dyk has produced what I consider to be the best sets I've ever listened to.

Posted by nsamadi on Jun-14-2008 04:56:

Awful. There's no variation in the first 2 hours, all the tracks almost sound alike. The last hour isn't bad, but no where close to his Berlin and Amnesia sets.

I agree, it's sadly hit or miss with PvD lately, not as consistent as he was before. Just give this set a listen... I am in awe. This goes into my Mp3 player, right next to Rosemontags set.

huh? splain?

lol i have to agree. i havnt heard the rosenmont (whatever) set yet, downloading now.. but those 2 for me are awesome.. the 2nd one alot less soo (but has that same vibe and energy sound). but 2003 energy is the best set i have ever heard.. and i got about 100 gigs of sets on my computer as it is.
