Finally got my ticket to this!! Can't wait. Tiesto outdoors at Love was one of the most unforgettable experiences ever and my first time seeinghim...Hoping this can come close to that first time AHHH less than a month!!! 6 1/2 hours from where I live to Hartford, I'm pretty sure this will be WELL worth the drive.

Posted by vanditradio on Jun-02-2008 13:49:

Shame I'm gonna miss out on Second Sun and... Tiesto I guess lol. I'll see Randy in NYC next week though! \o/

Posted by Gjorgji on Jun-11-2008 14:48:

I might hit this, too.. Hartford is much closer than NYC

Posted by martinezequiel on Jun-11-2008 15:11:

I think im down to go. I have my boy living in hartford CT. so probably will meet up with him and hit it up. I'd rather have a road trip to CT and rock out to a tiesto concert outside then packed inside webster hall.

Posted by tampax on Jun-16-2008 12:08:

i went last year, and am missing the show by a week due to plane ticket problems as i live in europe now. But anyways, ive been too nearly every event in the US and seen every DJ , and by far this was the best event of my life, a tie with WMC.

first timer

I'm going to be driving over from NYC and was just curious how early I should get there? I would prefer to be standing up towards the front closer to the DJ area.

Posted by Greggy4202k on Jun-17-2008 18:24:

These events usually fill out towards the latter part of the evening. I'd say be there by 9 to get up front.

Bora, you gonna get lasers for this event???

So is this close to a legit sellout as it says in an email I received today or will I be able to buy a ticket at the door? If I can how much will they be?

We will allocate tickets for the door. No lasers.

Are we allowed to bring in like those flimsy backpacks where you pull the string to close it? I hate carrying tons of stuff in bulging pockets :P

I'm not that familiar with any of the DJ's performing before Tiesto other than G&D. Are any of the others worth coming early for or should I just show up in time for Tiesto?

Posted by jcastro22 on Jun-23-2008 14:26:

the music was awesome, let that be known. all the DJs that I was able to see, rocked it. however, there was much to be desired regarding the entry and purchasing drinks.

two guys scanning tickets for 2000 people did not seem very efficient. also, many people in the drink lines had to get out of the line when they got to the bar because they did not have drink tickets. the fact that you needed to buy drink tickets should have been displayed better. though they did seem to be accepting cash later in the night.

i spent half the night in one line or another, which was not all at the case last year. not to mention, if my memory serves me correctly, we got 16 oz beers for $5 last year. this year, a 12 oz can for $7... and sorry kids, but honestly, this should have been 21+, as it was last year. the 21+ segragation was pretty lame and i am sure the party would have still sold out at 21+.

sorry for all the bitching, as i am sure a show like this was very hard to pull off, but it was pretty much awesome last year and i was suprised that it was so much different this year.

much respect to Bora for bringing Tiesto back and making it a decent party. hopefully, we can have the 2007 vibe back there in 2009

Hey everyone. What a night. I think I aged 3 years yesterday. We started setting things up at 8am ready to open doors at 5pm. Everything was going as planned until it started raining which delayed the setup for about 2 hours. We had already sold all of the presale tickets so we didn't even have to but just to make it a pleasant experience for everyone, we rented the big tents. The tent people showed up 4 hours late! Tent delay combined with the rain delaying the stage setup, we really fell behind which caused the late opening of the doors. That was the bottleneck right there. We were prepared for a steady flow of people throughout the day but when we finally opened, there were probably 1000 people already waiting and we could never recover from that due to a disaster that followed.

The generator blew!

Yes the generator that was powering the whole event and the lighting and video systems that were supposed to be much bigger than last year's show blew and it also blew the lights. At this point the people from the ticketing company at the front door didn't have proper power so it slowed processing of the tickets with the computer systems causing even bigger lines. The front door lines resulted in bigger drink ticket lines etc etc. It just caused a chain reaction of operational disasters. We contacted the generator company who ended up bringing a new generator after midnight when it was already too late. It just wasn't supposed to go down like this at all.

The separation of 21+ and 18+ areas was necessary by law so that wasn't even a choice for us.

We are really very sorry about all the waiting and not being able to use the lights and video screens.

Aside from these issues though the crowd energy was great and along with our local boys Kered, Kiraly and Randy Boyer, Second Sun, Dave Dresden and Tiesto rocked the crowd proper. I believe musically it was a very satisfying night for almost everyone.

We will surely make up for the inconveniences experienced in future events.

Best,
Bora
